Anyone have any good solutions yet for mud flaps.?? Should not be this hard!

I bought the Truck Hardware mud flaps and have been happy with them.

They are expensive but I wanted flexible mud flaps because I often have to drive on snowy unplowed roads and drifts on my long driveway so flexible mud laps are important - rigid mud flaps have a tendency to get torn off especially reversing through deep snow.

I installed them myself and except for a single user error (left/right is apparently still a concept I grapple with) they went on easily. I have very minor rubbing on one wheel which will be resolved when I find the time (and it warms up a touch) to tweak a bracket slightly.

I put mud-flaps on my old SUV because I didn’t like mud collecting on the running boards but I have decided against putting mud-flaps on my F150L. The F150L has a lot of features designed to reduce air resistance and improve range including design of the wheel wells and running boards. Molded mud-flaps are not very aerodynamic and I would not want to take the chance of mud-flaps reducing my range.

I had the factory flaps installed and my tech trimmed them a little bit to improve the fit.

Yes. They technically don’t fit the Lightning if you open the “fits these vehicles” section.

we made it smaller compare to our ICE F150 mud flaps, because some Owners might concern about the range.

I saw these on Ford accessories site and ordered them : F-150 2022-2023 Molded Carbon Black Splash Guards Front Pair w/o Wheel ~ NL3Z16A550AA (ford.com)

The site specifically states that they are for Lightning. However, got an e-mail saying that they are on backorder and it didn't give any ETA.

Not installed yet. My Lariat is being transported to me. The dealer search for the mud flaps by my vin, so it should fit.

Have seen questions about splash guards/mud flaps for the Lightnings a few times. Received mine today and can now confirm the parts numbers and flaps do say ”Lightning.”

Don’t have my truck yet, so can’t confirm fit.

Also, invoice included shows the dealer mark up! Haha.
Purchased directly from accessories.ford.com, and shipped free to dealer.

Thanks for this... Just ordered the same parts via ford ($123 total). SHould have bought these things a while ago... Running board and back of truck bed gets lots of dirt and water up there...
