Question, do we get the discounted rates with the Blue Oval Network? Or do you pay full price? I've been paying full price so I guess the only benefit is plug and charge, but if I sub for a month to Pass+ with EA I figure I need to disable plug and charge so I can pay with my pass+ account. Is that right? I'm on a long road trip and don't want to be paying more than I need to.

No need to turn off plug and charge/Ford Blue Oval. You can just make sure that you activate the station with your EA app before plugging in. It will then use your EA Pass+ membership's payment method and charge you the expected discounted price.

While this is technically correct, I have activated a station using the EA Pass+ and then received full price billing through Blue Oval. This is not the norm but it can happen when the software doesn't quite operate properly. You might be able to convince the powers that be to issue you a discount but that's a pain. If I want to make sure I get Pass+ rates, I turn off P&C.

I just turned off P+C so I can activate EA chargers the way EA wants them activated - post plug in. Too bad Ford can't integrate EA subscriptions into P+C because it seemed to work great during the 250 kWh trial. And if you are charging an ER Lightning you can save over $10 per session with Pass+ so it pays for itself almost instantly.

Manually planning to stop at the next EA station seems to be the fastest way to road trip assuming you get full charging speed at each station. When I was driving cross country the Ford Nav wanted me to stop at a 50kw Chargpoint station and charge for over two hours and I instead made two much shorter EA stops. The Ford Nav seems to optimize plans to stop the least amount of times, not get you to the destination the fastest

Yeah so in that case, its possible that if you didn't have Plug and charge enabled, you may not have been able to use that stall that day. Or, you might have needed to call support to get the stall to activate.

One really nice benefit of keeping plug and charge active is that it can often get around issues like that at some chargers. It does, however, come at a cost of possibly once in a while paying full price.

Ford may roll out the discount in the future. They rolled it out last year, then yanked it when it didn’t work right. They advertised it at $50 a year.

Pass+ is cheaper if you only travel occasionally. Upgrade the morning of a trip, then immediately downgrade, which takes effect in 30 days.

You can filter out low power chargers in Ford Nav after setting your route. Then, pick and navigate to the EA chargers from the high power charger list set as waypoints along your desired route.

Not necessarily. One time I realized I was paying full price at the start of a substantial charging session. I ended the session, turned off P&C and started over. I connected just fine and was charged the discounted rate.
