Brake Recall Scheduled - Software updates pending?

Hey everyone, i just spoke with my dealer and they are having me bring my truck in tomorrow for the brake recall. Can anyone look at my vin and tell me if I have other updates pending that I should ask them to do? 1FT6W3L79RWG24859

Just got my 23 Lariat back from dealer. I purchased a Maintenance for Life package when I bought the truck and that gets me a yearly Checkup new windshield wipers new cabin filter and tire rotation. My 3 year old 12v battery apparently passed with flying colors.

I had them check the two recalls I have letters from Ford (25C69 and 25SB6) Neither one is showing in the Ford app but both show on the web page. The web page says repairs are not available for my truck. They could not complete either one according to my service advisor. Service technician note states: “Recall not available at this time. Update only available for 2024-2025 Lightning.” He showed me in addition to the 24-25 Lightnings…there was software for the Maverick and MachE. I didn’t pay too much attention to any year models for those other vehicles.

Service advisor told me to check back with him in 30 days or if notified by Ford and if software update becomes available for my 2023 he would have mobile service complete the recall. So neither one was completed on my truck.

Dealer just texted me to let me know that the software is not available for my truck yet.

Seems to be some confusion right now as I've heard from a few people both here and on Reddit that they have had the recall done. At the point I'm just going to wait for a notification from ford that it is available.

Maybe the trucks getting the software are 2024-2025??? My 2023 was no go today.

Possibly could be. I always set my parking break so not really an issue, at least for me. Also, I assume If there was real risk here, they would have pushed out a fix for it by now.

My 2022 still shows the fix is not yet available. Same for the Lightbar recall.

sorry, I was thinking software. Log in to your account at ford.com and go to vehicle dashboard. from there under Action Items, click on ACTON REQUIRED if there are any recalls.

Yep I am getting the recall done tomorrow. I wanted someone to log in to FRDS to see what updates are pending for my truck.

Ford has started locking accounts for those that check vins so those days are pretty much over. If you have $30 burning a hole in your pocket, you can get a 72 hr subscription to PTS which also shows updates. Doesn't hurt to ask the dealer for any additional updates but they generally only do the minimum required.

$30 for 72hrs is also over. It's $120 for 48hrs for an FDRS license now if you do the updates yourself.

PTS login is different than FDRS and it's only $27 for 3 days access.

I am fairly certain no fix has been released as of yet.

22-24 would have the same firmware.

25 would have different firmware.
