Anyone else have their truck automatically go back to the calm screen on its own? Seems to happen about 80% of the time and it's benign to make me NOT calm. Between that and having to press the OK button to remain in start before it goes away is starting to get a bit annoying.
Do you mean the instrument panel or the Sync screen. If you mean the IP, see Rick's comment:

Yes, it's a thing.
If it's the calm screen on the ic then just change your myview.
What change in the MyView fixes this? I have the same issue but just switch back to the screen I want.

Simple, select Myview, which is just a customized version of the other boilerplate options.

Does anyone ever actually use the calm screen
Most of time, especially around town when range, blue cruise and efficiency are not a big consideration. On roadtrips, I revert to full display on This Trip.

Ha, I have to problem that I want the calm screen but after and update, it always makes me select it again with the OK button...another little annoying bug in the OTA update process.

Can also happen if the 12v battery is low, so I've heard.

I find that if I double-press the OK button by accident on startup, my menu is set up to take me to the calm screen. If I acknowledge a pop-up, and it takes a second to clear, so I press OK again, I'll end up on the calm screen.

Does anyone ever actually use the calm screen
Yes, I do.

Thankfully haven’t had this issue in my 25 Lariat but I do like the calm screen from time to time - especially at night on dark roads.
but all this talk of OTA has me wondering - I haven’t received one yet since I bought the truck in Oct as far as I can see - should I have ?

LOL, fair enough - just walked out to the truck, though, and checked my SYNC version - it’s 25211_PRODUCT
REVISION: 1966
Yikes!

Check your truck screen update menu which is under settings (maybe in the 2025's somewhere else?).

Be sure you have Automatic Updates enabled - apparently if you select 1AM for the time, there might be an issue, or if you select a time when you are charging - in my case the update interrupted and stopped the charging and it did not restart it.

Also check the FORD app "Software Updates" on the first page.

And also, maybe check on the Ford web site with your vin and see what that says?

https://www.ford.com/support/software-updates

Probably soon your will get the PT-25.8.5 update that deals with locking the charge port when connected to a DC fast charger with an update to the Powertrain Control Module...I just got that recently - it deleted my charge locations, others have seen that and other settings deleted I believe.,,unless that was built-in to the 2025's?

Gotcha. I went into MyView, which I use all the time anyway, and turned off Calm Screen for the list of MyView screens. I haven't seen the Calm Screen since.

Thanks!

Funny thread. I find this happens too but I assume its because I've inadvertently fat-fingered something along the way in my usual bumbling around because I'm an idiot.

This is also how I realized that by mistake I hit the button that turns off the cabin lights that are meant to come on and off when someone opens a door...... I did it today with the lane keeping and speed control as I was tootling down my street.

sigh.

haha. 🤣 I accidentally turned off the overhead cabin lights. Took me a couple months to figure that out by NOT Using the ford manual. I just AI & googled the crap out of it after one too many dark mornings…. I do miss 60’s dim switch that’d dim everything!

Did the same. Something must have reset it at some point as I had previously removed it.

Mine also keeps flipping back to the calm screen randomly, and having to hit OK just to start gets old fast. Feels like a small software quirk, but definitely annoying when all you want is a smooth start.
