Are you running a fork or stock OpenPilot.I just got the comma 3x and have the dashcam only mode. I’m assuming the coupler is the issue?
I’m going down the road, so forgive the typos. Assuming you’ve installed everything correctly, the factory version of the software that comes with the Comma does not work with the Lightning out of the box.I just got the comma 3x and have the dashcam only mode. I’m assuming the coupler is the issue?
I've put over 5000 miles on my truck with BP 2.1, and it's been quite good (with added tweaks); iirc 3.1 is there for folks who can't get 2.1 to run properly.I tried BP 3.1 for my first few days with my Comma in my Lightning and while it was good, I’m glad I went to BP 2.1 as IMO it is much better overall performance and stability. If you’re new here, I’d start with 2.1 for the best experience.
Stable can't be installed anymore, comma broke it. 1.1-2.1 should install for everyone, but newer devices were having issues with thermal management on those.iirc 3.1 is there for folks who can't get 2.1 to run properly.
Which tweaks?I've put over 5000 miles on my truck with BP 2.1, and it's been quite good (with added tweaks); iirc 3.1 is there for folks who can't get 2.1 to run properly.
menu —> developer —> enable SunnyPilot longitudinal controlI installed 3.1 and the so far impressed however it still shows I’m in chill mode is experimental not supported?
Thanks! I got that enabled, and now the distance it keeps behind other vehicles is way too much. Is there a setting to decrease the distance? I have the OSD set to 1 but that doesn't seem to help. I am trying to understand this on my own but there is so much info but its all on other vehicles and I get confused easily.![]()
How do I order one?Order is in for the second round of adapters - expected lead time is 25 days plus shipping. I have made this round more robust, there will be ESD and EMI shielding and a higher copper weight for those that live in a hot climate like myself. They should be truly automotive spec. @Ajzride was also awesome enough to create a shell for it, so it will look more finished. I ordered enough to cover those that have expressed interest and a buffer.
I am ordering more BREAK OUT BOARDS for those that are wanting the stop gap, but please always keep in mind that THESE ARE NOT FOR LONG TERM USE and they will likely fail over time due to them not being designed for long term or the harshness of automotive use.
Sending me a message on discord is the best way.How do I order one?
