I am really enjoying the Comma X3 but struggle with how much of the visibility it blocks with it sitting under the rearview mirror. I am 6’4” and from that vantage it blocks a lot. I found this mount for a Kia EV6 and am wondering if anyone has seen something similar for the lightning that could be printed.

Yes

I have the 15” screen.
I've been considering a version of my quick dock that mounts to the dash. Since the Lightnings can't get a built right dash grid, I'll see if I can make something that would mount to the screen. Hopefully my machE screen is close enough to test with. It will take a week or two for me to work it up. Send me a DM if you are interested in discussing.

I did find this dash grid for the lightning. I know I have seen a 3d print version. Would a universal comma 3 mount for this grid work better?

hmm...that would solve my problem of blocking my dash cam. Looks like that might cause a blindspot itself though since it'd probably have to be mounted fairly high

It definitely would not work for shorter drivers but would open up visibility for taller people. This is my view so moving it to the dash does not block any of the view out of the windshield.

I've been using 4.0 for a bit now (~800 miles) and coming from 2.1 it is so much better than 3.1. Worth upgrading IMO. (I'll have a video soon)

Where do you have yours current mounted in relation to the mirror? Distance to the base of the mirror? I'm 6'3" and don't have issues.

Wonder if it would be any issues being that low. Also a bit awkward since the mount is on the top and anything going down would need to avoid the power plug and the cameras.

Im completing a 500 mile drive tonight with the production coupler in place. Im going to conclude initial testing tonight after a successful trip.

Orders for the adapters will be live on Tuesday. I will post in discord and here when it opens.

I may actually sell out with all the messages I've been getting, so I may be putting a second batch order in, in the morning to cut lead times.
