Yeah I do have that toggled on. I turned off pretty much all the other visuals because of the heat issues with the 3x.

It will try, don’t expect it to succeed.

use sunnylink to search for “alpha long” or “sunnypilot long”. Turn that on and then enable “experimental mode”

It can, but only if you are using the comma to control acceleration and braking. The general recommendation I've seen has been to let Ford's adaptive cruise control handle that, and bluepilot handles only the steering. (AKA, do not enable experimental mode / longitudinal control on the comma) If you follow that recommendation, the comma isn't controlling stops and starts, so even if it sees a stop sign/light it can't do anything about it.

I've enabled experimental mode on the comma in my wife's bolt, and it seems to work well enough. I'm not sure why they say to stick with the vehicle's ACC on fords, but I've followed the recommendation so far.

Thanks for the heads up. I ordered a spare just in case. I accidentally busted the development one you sent me awhile ago and luckily already had the final production unit so I just swapped it in.

Makes sense. What is special about this coupler? Is it just a tried and true USBC coupler? I got the dock with integrated but curious if getting spare makes sense.

Without the coupler. the lightning will throw errors every time you start.

It is designed specifically to resolve can bus errors on the lightnings. I don’t believe there are other options out there at the moment. If you want a spare for the dock, I’m sure we could ship you a bare one that will drop in as a replacement if you let me know when you place the order (through DM here or discord).

Obviously support people supporting the project first, but in the future or as a stop-gap, would something like this with a 360-ohm resistor across pins A10 and A11 functionally serve the same purpose, albeit with clumsy packaging and probably less reliability?

Yeah, it would still functionally work. But I’d advise against it since they’ve been known to break/fail since they aren’t intended for long term use and you have the risk of shorting out the connections if you’re not careful.
