I just looked over the the shifter I removed and I don’t see anything on it that would have activated Auto Hold. So I don’t think you are losing anything when you switch out to the dial. But hey, I drive solely under one pedal so I have never seen auto hold on my Lightning. I did have and used it on my Mavericks.
It's in the settings of the car. Not on the gear shift

That’s my point. It’s not on the shifter so people need not worry about losing it when swapping out the GSM.

Does anybody has the part number for a motorized shifter with ambient light?

I know the LX6P-7P155-XX have the blue light in dial base (ring). I haven't kept up with the LX6Z-7P155-X versions to know, maybe someone can chime in?

Hello I have completed this mod with no issues, no codes.

My part number is LX6P-7P155-AD which I believe came out of a 2020-2022 Escape. I can confirm it has the working light blue LED beneath the dial. This has the "L" centre button.

Thanks for doing this. It is interesting to see the variance in what will work.

Can you confirm whether it was motorized or not too? Assuming it's a yes but just want to be sure.

Also, has anyone installed the bronco sport rotary shifter? I like the looks of that one better but don't see any part numbers for that in this thread. Is the shifter the same size as the other ones i.e. will the 3d printed parts fit either shifter?
It depends on the cubby you get. There are versions that you cut the mounting points off the shifter housing and drop in instead of bolting to the bottom.

I’m only familiar with the setup that uses three mount screws to mount the dial from the under side of the tub.

I recall someone suggesting that they they felt like the dial fit snug enough that didn’t need insert any screws.

I printed this one for my truck. I like the design since it gives you more space than the etsy version. I modified the print to not have the USB holes at the front. I wasn't a huge fan of cutting a brand new GSM up. But functionality and looks are amazing in my opinion. Plus it sounds like it lets you use more modules.

Yeah, the early (or maybe all/most) 3D print version cubbys, you need to cut off the three winged bolt holders from the rotary shifter assembly...then it just plops in the cutout area fot it, then just place the lid on top.

I think you may have to shave a bit into the asembly as I got as close as I could and its pretty tight to place into the cubby...but its definitely not going anywhere.

I cut mine off with a hacksaw and then flushed it with a file. It was still a tight fit, but I think that was intended with the design.
