Dashboard screen died while driving

Mine just died this morning but after shutting it off for 5 minutes, it came back on. Did yours fix itself?

Yes mine magically fixed it self and I've not had it happen again (thankfully). As of this morning...27,707 total miles since new.

Bumping an old thread here but just had this happen for the first time this morning at 21,000 miles. Center display was unaffected. After about 30s of full black the screen turned on and UI elements began popping in one by one, but the display itself was sluggish to respond to inputs on the wheel buttons. Tried a start/stop cycle but dash behavior is still sluggish. Not sure if it coincided with a Sync update or what the deal is. Not sure if anyone has experienced similar behavior. Hoping it resolves itself but frankly don't trust that this won't happen again out of warranty.

My dash never turned on this morning. But had to get to work. 40 min away. Little scary driving without a dash. Just happen to have previous appointment with dealer tomorrow for another issue

Was hoping to get some insight here. 2024 lightning flash- had my battery module replaced a few weeks ago. Seemed to drive good and my range was 320 at 100% but one day last week, my trucks connection with my app failed. I usually leave my fob in my truck when I go to the gym, I had to get my spare key to get in, even at that point I had to soft reset my truck to use the app to lock and start climate control. I noticed a few times when I turned the truck off it would immediately shut off, typically the radio will stay on until you open the door but the screen and everything would shut down. Yesterday I was driving on the highway and my driver display shut off for a quick second and when it came back on , I had the battery symbol lit up along with the service vehicle message, I lost steering but was able to pull to the side. I powered off my truck and restarted it and it’s been ok. Now I’m at 41% but only 118 miles , 41% of 320 is 131 so that doesn’t seem to be working . I was experiencing issues with my battery before they changed the battery module a few weeks ago. Anyone have anything similar happen? Thanks guys!

Possibly 12V battery failed/failing.

Additionally. @Coach Smitty ignore your range estimate as a measure of remaining battery capacity. The more accurate way to assess remaining capacity from the dash board is SoC % and you current efficiency. The EPA range assumes you have around 2.5 mpk for efficiency. Anything lower than that results in a lower range estimate.

EDIT: Looking at your numbers, you should be getting around 2.2 mpk. That's normal for city driving w/ the aircon cranked up.

I would be checking on my 12v battery here. Sounds to me like it not holding a good strong charge.

Can I get your Build Date from the B pillar sticker and Mileage at the time of the HV battery module replacement for my tracking spreadsheet (see my signature)? Hope not another HV module is causing the current problem?
