Departure Time Not working: Now working #9

I have a 22 ER Lariat w/ 60K miles. When I first got the truck I had the ability to set a departure time; however, soon after that the departure time option disappeared from the mobile app (Android). I did not think about it again until a couple months ago. So, I called Ford. After over an hour on the phone nobody could get it to work. Then, about an hour later, the departure time option appeared in the mobile app. So, for the last couple months I have been using it to prepare the truck in very cold weather (single digits). Now, for the last couple days when I set a departure time, it disappears and I try to set it again, but it does not seem "save" even though it displays the departure time in the app. That is, until the departure time arrives, and I check my phone and it is gone again. Any suggestions?

What version of Ford App 6.4.0 or 6.5.0?

Also double check the authorizations in the connected features menu on the Sync screen.

Lately my departure events have not been executing, aside from using Ford App 6.18.0, these are the most recent OTA's which could be contributing factors.

Anyone else noticed a problem with departure timed events?

Last night I decided to purge all the departure time events via the SYNC screen, then rebuilt my prefered rules to see if the input/adjustments will perform better or more reliably.

Then I plugged into the FCSP to monitor the energy flow to the truck if/when the departure event for Friday morning kicked on.

Looking at my Emporia energy log, I see the truck requested ~5KW of energy flow around 0720 hrs, then tapered down quickly to a low flow. I guess Transferring Power is the new terminology for charging or send / receiving energy from the truck, found the truck running and cool to my specifications this morning, leave time was for 0800 hrs

This morning's {unplugged] departure event did not execute.

I'm wondering if the switch {Prepare cabin off plug} is report inaccurately, it shows as [ON] but the truck is behaving as though it's [OFF], also remember this switch is not available on the SYNC screen.

After this morning's coffee run, she is now in the garage and plugged in for this afternoon's next departure event at 3:20, I'm curious to see if it resumes working while plugged in to the FCSP.

Further testing of Departure Timer, confirmed that it works fine when plugged in and fails to run when not plugged into power, I still speculate something has broken the control switch in Ford App, at the moment my version is 6.18.0

I have set a departure time for Monday at 1130 (my next planned drive). The truck will not be plugged in as it was charged last night. I will see if it cools the truck for the departure and will report here...

Sunday morning off the plug, departure event for 07:50 am built via SYNC screen previous day executed on time at 07:45 am this morning.

After arriving at the coffee shop, I programmed another event for 08:30 am via Ford App, this too executed on time at 08:25 am.

Looks like we're back in business for the moment.

I will note that creating & editing departure values in Ford App 6.18.0 is slow at time and sometimes errors out with a failure to save the revised values, hopefully that improves in 6.19.0, I haven't gotten it on Android yet.

All departure events occured on time today, including a Ford App adjustment of the schedule.
