Disable Motion

Is there a way (Forscan) to disable that silly motion sensor for good... Thanks Ford for the option, but this is not something I need and I'm tired of setting the thing off when I leave passengers to run an errand.

Leave the truck running for the passengers perhaps? Gotta get hot in there at times, cold too lol.

I'm always Keyless... Love that feature and it's what I am used to with my Tesla.

The truck will stay on even if you leave with your phone in your pocket. I do it all the time when I leave my family waiting while I go grab something in the store on a road trip.

Try turning off the security feature.

I think the OP's point is yes the truck stays running when you leave with the keys (or phone) but if the passengers shift around to much the car alarm goes off.

Not sure why there would even be an alarm if it's running. Turn off power down timer (or disable permanently with forscan), leave truck on and go about your business. No need to leave the key or phone in the truck. Not sure how the alarm works if you lock it and leave it with it running though but haven't had a busy dog set it off.

This one is simple - it's already in the GUI. You can turn off the interior alarm sensor. It says something about do you want it on automatically or to ask each time you turn it off. Use that last option and just don't turn it on.

Oh the alarm still goes off with the truck running. My 16yr reading a book must somehow be more of a possible intruder than a busy dog.

It makes no sense as the truck is still on for climate control reasons but it does.

I often leave my wife in the truck while it's running, I never get alarms, but I've had the sensor/security function turned off soon after taking ownership three years ago.

Thinking about it, mine may not even have it. Don't recall any settings and it's a 23 where they were leaving stuff out.
