I got some questions about FORscan.
I haven't paid a lot of attention to the FORscan threads. But where do I get it? Do I need a laptop? Can I use my phone? What do I need to have this? And how much does it cost?

Here's a quick summary - https://www.ford-trucks.com/article...u-use-it-to-customize-features-and-functions/

1. Forscan.org

2. Yes, laptop for configuration changes/programming

3. There is a Forscan Lite (for phones) but not for programming - https://forscan.org/comparsion.html

4. Laptop with windows, bluetooth or hard-wired ELM/OBD2 adapter, FORScan software

5. Software can be had for free (2-month license registration/renewal process) for programming...but a yearly license fee of $20 bucks for more advanced module features.

2025 Ford Lightning Flash Job 2 😭
To recap:
2025 Platinum Build date 2/25 (likely Job 1) has sticky drive modes
2025 Flash Build date 6/25 (likely Job 2) does not.

We're gonna need more data :)
2025 Flash Build Date 4/25 VIN suggests Job 2
Drive Mode stays the same across restarts, haven't tested up to 4 hours but it feels about right. Coming back to the truck, say next day, it pops up a brief message asking if I want to switch back to Sport.

Besides post #1 in this thread, also read post #2. There are links to equipment, software, tutorials, etc.

Note: has issue that puddle lights get disabled.

Remove "Full view not available" message on reverse camera screen while in motion (source)
APIM 7D0-02-02 xxx* xxxx xx-- If 0 change to 1, if 2 change to 3, if 4 change to 5, if 6 change to 7.
Note: reboot APIM after the change. See post 2 below for how to reboot a module.

I wanted to pop in here and just say THANK YOU to everyone that contributed to this thread. I finally spent some time implementing a few items and am really enjoying the improvements I've been able to make so far!

1) Enabled Walk-Away lock toggle so I can turn off the "feature" off (that was inexplicably forced on)

2) Enabled Glare-Free High Beams - Loving this feature, such a better chance of seeing all those roaming deer eager to play a game of frogger.

3) Fix Small 360 degree camera view - The used truck I bought had this issue. Avoided a likely billable service trip to resolve.

4) Enable Silent Mode Toggle - Haven't used yet, but definitely could have used it previously.

Hello guys. Guess I need to do this for the glare free headlights and the other 3 mentioned in post above.

My question is regarding the odb dongle. The odblink ex is 60 bux and the vgate vlinker fs odb2 is 30 bux. Just wondering if the 60 buck one has any advantages that makes it worth 30 more bux over the other one? Thanks.

I'd go for the OBD EX. Quality avoids a lot of weird problems.

I have the vlinker fs - it works fine never had any problems, and its one of the 2 reccomended ones along with the OBD EX. I have even sideloaded module updates with it and that worked great as well.

For a period of time earlier this year the vLinker FS was not recommended due to stability issues and poor support. You can read about it here. But they have resolved it by releasing a new version and as you noted it is recommended again. If I were buying first time I still would go with OBDLink EX. But since you already own the vLinker, stay with it - just be aware past versions may have had issues.
