FCSP not connected

I noticed that the FCSP says connection lost through the FordPass app but I am able to connect to it through my Fcsp app. I’ve tried to reconnect it with no luck. I saw earlier threads about a ford server issue but that seems to have been resolved for some people. Do I have to cycle my power station and if so how do I do that?

Cycle power to it. Should be all good after that.

Turn it off. Wait 5 minutes. Turn it on. Give it about 10 or 15 minutes before you try to connect to it.

dumb question but where do I do that ? Does the unit have a power switch? At breaker box? Or do I have to turn off power to the whole house ?

This situation can be intermittent on the Ford server side of the WWW, just wait it out, eventually service will be restored.

You can power cycle your FCSP by switching off the 100A circuit breaker for 5 minutes, then power back on and wait apx 10-30 minutes for it to try reaching the Ford cloud, assuming it's up.

Looking at mine just now, service appears to be active.

Mine seems to have disappeared since added it to the ford pass app last week

I have to do this all the time - at least every two weeks - it's quite annoying because you lose any charging time records when it's not connected.

@Ford Motor Company - Do you know if SunRun is working on some type of fix for this issue long term?

I do not think Sunrun is responsible for this issue, maybe Siemens or Ford Corporate data center though.

Mine has disconnected once again, was on this morning but not any more, I'll do a power cycle soon.

As @TaxmanHog said it's a Ford/Siemens issue and Ford won't do crap about it. I've had the same issues you've had since day 1 and had multiple cases opened and closed on it. They've blamed my electrician, my wifi, told me to buy a wifi extender, blamed the cloud, and then finally told my request for a replacement was denied because they don't authorize replacements for connectivity issues.
Yeah - I can prove it’s not my Wifi - I actually have a dedicated Garage AP from Ubiquity (semi-commercial grade network I installed years ago) for my network setup - it’s got a perfect signal and is less than 25’ from the FCSP.

The power cycle seems to have fixed this instance, switched off waited 30 seconds, switched on waited 30 more seconds, plugged in the truck, 20 minutes later I took a peak at the app, now reporting online again.

Sometimes this works, sometimes it doesn't (like last week 2/9 to 2/16)

Yeah - I can prove it’s not my Wifi - I actually have a dedicated Garage AP from Ubiquity (semi-commercial grade network I installed years ago) for my network setup - it’s got a perfect signal and is less than 25’ from the FCSP.
I too, verified that the FCSP was talking to my network earlier after noticing the outage, all seemed fine from my point, but it's odd that a power cycle would fix communication issues further downstream.

IIRC, someone mentioned months ago that there is an issue with the FCSP communicating with the host, when that happens the cycling usually fixes the issue, ..... except when it doesn't!

Mine was about 18ft before the extender. They say they want it within 3 ft which is comical.
