First DCFC session (Ionna charger)

Took I nice ride for a few hours today cuz the weather was just too nice NOT to! Got down to about 45% which isn't low but as low as it's been in a while. Before I got home I decided to stop at the new Ionna in Parsippany. Also got to stop at Island drag way for some good ol ICE action.

I’ve been to a few of those IONNA locations. Excellent DCFC option. Very reasonably priced, without the need for a subscription or another app. Plug & Charge at IONNA is a Tesla-like charging experience.

I'll have to take your word on that - they are really few and far between west of the Rockies. I am expecting to get into one south of Albuquerque in August on a trip to Colorado Springs. There is exactly one in southern California (90 miles from home), although according to Plugshare.com, there are 13 "Coming Soon" in the greater Los Angeles basin with 111 chargers.

From all the Lightning YouTubers, my opinion of Ionna is swayed very positive. This location is at a Wawa, and is just a small taste of the larger rechargery that is being built on the other side of the property. I think there are 10 stalls now. It's supposed to be one of those fully covered, gorgeous Ionna Rechargeries when complete. It's on the Eastern edge of the property in the map. Very few in the middle part of the country as well. I'm in Northwest Arkansas in the land of Walmart, Tyson's Food, JB Hunt Trucking, and University of Arkansas. No shortage of EVs here as well, with lots of travel to and from the area. Nearest IONNA are east side of Kansas City or Little Rock AR. Both 3.5 hours away. Strangely few DCFC's in the area at all. All DCFC"s are currently in the northern half of the area.

Walmart has began a push for the north half of the area, but strangely not the southern half. Nothing half is Benton County, Southern half is Washington county.

It’s pretty amazing, if you look at PlugShare almost every one of them has a 10 rating. Can’t wait until there are more of them out there.

Haven't tried that one yet, but just used the one in Gallup (West of ABQ) twice and it was problem-free.

These NM locations all show as "Rechargery Relay", which I guess means just parking lot stall (not the cool awnings/restrooms/etc).

Ionna has a station off I-78 in Kutztown, PA (just West of Allentown) at Sheetz and at rush hour was only $0.39/kWH to charge. So easy with the Ford app.

By the time I went in to use the restroom, get a coffee, browse the candy, and send a few emails from the mobile office - I was back to 80% and ready to go.
