Any way to get rid of the bounciness? Almost feels like it's underdamped, maybe in order to handle high payloads. Is there a way to tune/replace the damping to make it ride a bit better?

Very surprised with the rise quality in my 23 Platinum. Traded up from a 13 Limited with 60k on it. Second set of tires Michelin Premier (don't recommend tread depth low from start). Tires were worn suspension all stock and had a much better ride quality than the Lightning.

Something happened to this thread. I too sold a 2013 Lariat to buy a 2022 Lightning and I too don’t like the ride when empty. The Lighnings have coil rear springs but even 2023 gas 150s have the leaf springs that are designed so not all the leaves are in play if the truck is lightly loaded. I would like to solve this. (Maybe new coil springs and coil-over shocks?)

Eibach is supposedly coming out with some coilovers but no word when.

This is the best riding truck I've ever owned, and I've had them all. Go drive a F-250 for a week and you'll beg to come back to the Lightning.

I have a F550 that’s painful to ride in. So no doubt this is a very comfortable ride. But I guess most of us want it almost perfect.

right, everyone has a different 'feel' to how they want the ride to be, or expect it to be... my LIGHTNING PRO SR 'glides' down the road in luxury - I would never personally label it as anything but exceptionally smooth and easy. .. gliding on a CLOUD... 62,000 miles and I've never felt anything but pleasure.

I had a '88 Cadillac Deville, back in the day: this was the only other 'best smoothest glide' ride I have ever experienced. It was already 10-11 years old at that time, with hundreds of thousands of miles.
No, my '66 Mustang convertible 289 didn't ride as nice, though much fun...
our Leafs from back in 2014 were 'o.k.' as for an EV
our Bolts are, well, not so much...
her '24 EV9 is nice, very, very nice.... love it.
her '22 Kia Sorento PHEV might have even been nicer.

Had a 76 Deville my self, and you're right comparing it with these trucks for ride comfort. It floats every where I go, the new land yacht.

I like the glide of my Lariat. Because of the weight distribution Front to Rear due to the batter and the rear ind. suspension - I drive my truck in a way sportier fashion than it has a right to be driving.

My 2019 Ranger Lariat FX4 had a GARBAGE ride, I got sea sickness which makes sense because the FX4 shocks were so pathetic I could squeeze/expand them easily by hand. The Eibach shocks radically improved the ride... right up until I put airbags on it.

I could see myself putting those same Eibach dampers on this when it's time.

Without going into huge suspension mods, I found that pumping up the tire pressure helped somewhat with the floaty feel. When I first rode in the Lightning, I felt like I was on a boat. That was with the stock 34psi from the dealer. Pumped it up to 45psi and alot of the floatiness went away, though it's still there. I know trucks need more bounce given what they're designed to do; I'm just way too used to the stiff 'sport' suspension of sedans or crossovers. I'll probably join the Eibach crew when I hit around 100,000km though.

However, I'll never go back, Lightning is the best vehicle I've ever spent money on.
