Just downloaded it! Nothing new, just new icon and different internal design but same features.
Are we ever getting useful stuff in the app? Things like zone lighting, power onboard, etc…
ProPower Onboard monitoring is on the main vehicle page right under the Trailer Light Check.

Charging this evening and the new app does not show kWh Energy Added. The percentage is going up, and rate looks correct. Not sure why that alone would be affected. Anyone else noticing the same thing in the new app when charging?

Mine showed the kwh added on iPhone iOS26.

I actually screenshotted this same page and was going to post it to say that the text is huge. It's a waste of space. Same thing with the app home screen. I do have my phone set to larger text or zoom mode (don't remember with one or both) because my eyesight is bad. I don't know if that's why the text is so large but even then it's way too much. Not as much fits on a page without scrolling.

New app seems a lot quicker and more responsive than the old version. Looking forward to further development.

Overall, I honestly think y'all complain too much. Give feedback about the update instead of just making the same complaints, they know already, this is a sign that they are listening and making progress

UIX is horrendous!

I don’t think a single member of the Ford iOS design team knows about never mind read Apples user interface guidelines.

Liquid Glass (love it or hate it) softens everything especially corners, what does Ford do??? Sticks a bunch of randomly spaced squared elements on the screen, some with opacity others with none, yet they are all clickable (buttons). The icons in the tab well the less said the better.

Ford software development never fails to disappoint.

Thankfully the truck itself is still a pleasure to drive.

I'm almost on board with you, but after 4 years with the same bad app, it's hard to find that positive way. The second gen app which we just replaced took over 2 years to create and replace what we originally had and in doing so they took away features such as zone lighting and PPO. Now we have what appears to be just a new skin on the app, maybe something new underneath it, but hard to know, with again no new features.

Lets forget Ford is an old company, lets forget they aren't good at software in the vehicles.

Lets think about present day where we have an app that this is running on a modern platform communicating with servers somewhere in a data center or cloud all over high speed networks and maybe the truck via bluetooth. Now look at AI and coding tools and the fact that if you can draw a GUI this app should have been created in a few days. The API's are already there for the features we are missing, we used to use them. Now just add them already and put it out for testing and to the masses.

The only thing your way of thinking does is show why other EV's and foreign brands are running over our legacy US manufactures.

Just installed new version and it's broken. See screenshot. The app overlays on top of my navigation buttons at bottom and I can no longer access th charging and other features. This new version is complete garbage. Anyone got a link to the previous version for Android?
Edit: added image. See bottom, where my navigation buttons are overlaid. Ford apparently does zero testing of their app. Also, I downgraded to 5.28 after downloading from APKMirror.

Have you submitted feedback directly to the DEV's via PLAYSTORE?

This is the quickest way to give them feedback, stall the deployment and iron out theses post production bug finds.

I looked and all it gave me was to email [email protected], which I did do. Was that what you were referring to?
That's the best path, but you can also leave STAR rating and explain your experience, other users will see your feedback and make an informed decision to update or not.

We're early adopters that bought something 4 years ago and we are still getting support for it.

Not to minimize what you're saying or even disagree with you, but like i said, the same old arguments, they are demonstrating here that they are making progress.

I have a 22 like you do, and for me, its the first time I've bought a vehicle where the manufacturer tried or even cared to make that experience any better once they got their money. We all bought these things as early adopters and we keep getting improvements when they're not obligated to do a damn thing for us, so i'm pretty happy to see we're not totally forgotten.

OMG, ProPower from the app would be so convenient. I've only owned for a month + and have wanted this from the beginning.
It used to be in there and they got rid of it and other features like trailer light check , zone lighting and trip planer when 5.x was launched…they are slowly adding them back in (trailer lights got put back late last year) …wish it would happen faster.

Definitely hope zone lighting comes back! That’s a big one for me for gigs when darkness rolls in!

It looks to me they took out a number of things in sub locations where you had to hunt for them before are now on the main screen. I found it a little slow when I remote started it from the parking lot to cool down close to when I was leaving the store. One of those times it did not give me the Extend remote start feature. Another recent issue I do not know if related, but after my truck locks from walk away lock it does not recognize my phone as a key and let me in. I have to use the app to unlock or easy door access code. It use to recognize my phone as a key before the Blue cruise update and this update. One time it gave me a not connected to Internet, but that should not be an issue on 5g. I hope they did not change it to a wireless Internet only.

It looks nice, I like the new layout, but I am totally reading your cryptic response as we are about to get the ability to see if our truck is locked, not only parked; the ability to have a universal target charge slider, rather than a site-specific one; the ability to run PPO from the app; the ability to plan a trip and send it to the truck in the new mapping software; and all sorts of things. Thank you, not-AI Brian!
Oh that would be so nice…
