It’s tesla’s own network and hardware. Why shouldn’t they be able to monopolize it however they want?Seems like it would be feasible to build an adapter that can work with V2 chargers. This seems like a cop-out by Tesla so as to maintain their monopoly advantage of their charging network to help sell cars.
Whatever the means the chargers and Tesla cars use talk to each other, (wireless, CCS protocol, proprietary) it seems like it could be possible to build an adapter that makes itself look like a Tesla vehicle to the charger, makes itself look like a CCS charger to the vehicle, and makes the right handshake requests so that the charger provides the right DC voltage/current.
