In FordPass 5.0.2, changing the Target Charge is not working, as it does not change. Changing the target charge then pressing "Save" stalls the app (I assume it is connecting with the truck 20' away) then it appears to save, but does not change.

Deleting, and re-entering the location (after charging at it) works, but is sub-optimal to say the least. Anyone have a better solution?

A week in with my lightning and I've had the same issue from the start. If I set it from the truck, it shows up in the app correctly but won't change from the app. I've also had to set the departure times from the truck too. When I set the departure time from the truck, the app shows the incorrect upcoming time but the truck does the right thing. Almost like the app doesn't know my time zone even. Hope an update will help out with this.

Was it plugged in and charging? Mine did not seem to update when the truck was unplugged but when I plugged it in it did. Glad I saw this, it was still set to 100% from our road trip and a thought it had saved the 80%.

Exactly the problem I was having! I could not reset it to 85% from 100% and it kept going to 100% in the heat, regardless of the setting in the truck itself.

Just a guess... but you may need to have your phone on the same WiFi subnet as the truck.

My router has 3 subnets, two at 5 Mgh and one at 2.4 Mgh and I need to use the 2.4 for the distance to the truck. My Ford Pass 4.xx Works with Android and let me set the truck to charge to 80% at given locations.

On the other hand, I can't get the Charger Station Pro to connect... will be calling Ford.

Anyone get this fixed? I’m having this problem today.
Went on a trip overnight and got home today. I have to charge for a longer drive tonight and it’s stuck at 100% when I started the charge earlier than normal.
Also, when I started the charge, it’s at 80amps when I normally charge at 32amps.

I tried the slider to go down to 80-85% without luck and adjusting the amps in the charge station menu does nothing.

Also, FordPass has a wrong finish time for the charge as well.

What's happening when you try to adjust the time frames or amperage levels......:

Setting adjustments made via Fordpass are sent to the 'cloud' stored on the Ford servers, then passed down to the truck via the trucks telematics communication link.

The truck receives the revised conditions, storing it for use and execution of start/stop times and maximum percentage of SOC.

I'm not 100% certain, but I believe the amperage adjustments made on the Fordpass App > Charge Stations > Settings > Max Charge Current EDIT > slide to value > Save, these instructions are also sent to the cloud, then back to the truck, which instructs the OBCC [on board charge controller] to limit the amount of amps it will draw from the FCSP. I know this adjustment feature has been unreliable in the version 4 FP app, and my initial test of it when version 5.0.0 came showed success.

This evening after dinner, I'll be charging my truck to a revised 85% instead of 90% and it will draw only ~46 amps instead of ~80 amps, at least that is the plan, as outlined {BEFORE} plugging in my truck.

TIP regarding a glitch when revising your SOC limit [Energy > Charge > Target Charge > , while making the change in value of your SOC also alter the scheme name, normally mine is named "Home". I've had to add or remove an extra space or character in the name to force the communication with the server to post, revised name is "Home " note the space to the right of e. Next revision I'll delete the extra space.

When making time frame adjustments, your revision may not show in the prior screen overview until you back up one higher level of the touch/crumb flow, then click back into the details.

I'm going to watch to see what happens, hopefully it follows my planned instructions, then once it's nearing the 85% SOC, I'm going to try adjusting the SOC up to 90% from the active charging session screen, this is what some of you are experiencing difficulty with making changes, I may find the same issue, either it disregards the revised 90% and goes full tilt to 100%.

A few days ago, according to the v5.02 FordPass app, I could change the charge rate, e.g., from 48 A to 40 A and back. The app "confirmed" my changed settings had been saved. However, when I charge I no longer get the yellow bar on the right of the flashing blue LED that indicates I am not charging at the full hardware-set rate of 80 A. Since the "new" FordPass app still gives ludicrous charge parameters, it's hard to tell without running CarScanner as I charge what rate the FCSP is running at. See below:

They must be smoking something good at FMC...

Also, after about a week of having FordPass report my FCSP was "plugged in" or "charging," I've gone back to the old reliable "Connection Lost" with Ford servers in the past day or so. After close to a year of "Connection Lost" problems with the FCSP, you'd think Ford could straighten up and fly right. No such luck so far...

I'm testing and tweaking right now, I've noticed that we need to adjust the device name (add/delete a character in the name) to cause the amperage value to change, this is crazy but works.

I started the session but noticed that the truck was still demanding 80 amps, at this pace the session was projected to end around 6:47 going from 75% to 85%

I looked at the value previously set a couple hours ago, still shows 46 amps

Emporia is reporting the high current flow, this chart is a by the second (initial ramp-up)

Ford F-150 Lightning FordPass 5.0.2, Target Charge not taking 1718491750263-z2

I tried lowering it from 46 to 40, it worked and I didn't have to touch the device name, FP confirms the reduced rate from 16KW to 8KW, is the change allowed in certain increments only??

Ford F-150 Lightning FordPass 5.0.2, Target Charge not taking 1718491904541-4j

Now I'm trying to increase the rate to 60 amps, no dice FP say's it changed, but Emporia and the active session display say otherwise, still pulling 40 amps.

This time I also edit the amps to 80 and then the station nickname, this does the trick, storing the revision to the cloud, then flows to the trucks OBCC, active session monitor and Emporia verify revision has implemented.

The problem, is ..... when does FP transmit the data? It's apparent that not all field edits cause a data transmission to the cloud, Let's fix this @Ford Motor Company

Opppps, scratch the assertion above, the upgrade to 80 amps only held for less than 3 minutes then it reverted to ~40 amps, I tried tinkering with the name and rates, no dice, still stuck at lower rate.

I tinkered with the station nickname and amps once again, this time I changed the name first then to 80 amps second, this appears to have caused the update to stick and so far it has not reverted to prior value of 40 amps.

Adjusting the target SOC limit from 85% to 90%, the change did not reflect for about 30 seconds

But the projected ETA to complete charging session has not updated immediately

Now after a few more minutes [9] the amp draw has dropped again, but the SOC is still honored with a revised ETA now showing at 86% heading for 90%

Session is complete at 8:08, and the revised SOC target held at 90% after I adjusted it from 85% via the Fordpass app (Android).

FP energy added is 19.2. kWh, while Emporia shows 21.7 kWh and the FCSP shows 21.13 kWh.

42 miles driven this week, mostly local roads once on the highway, generous AC usage,
16.6 Cents/mile and efficiency of 1.94 MPK [gross energy] 11.5% AC/DC conversion loss
The distance added value of 54 miles infers an optimistic 2.8 MPK

Conclusion, communications between Fordpass, the cloud and the truck is still haphazard changing amperage rate!
