I read the thread. I can wire an outlet and a switch, but the conversation is over my head. I bought a chord to plug into my 220 Ev charging outlet. I tried disconnecting the ground and then the bonding wire. The truck would not supply power. I also have solar panels that are on a 220 switch in my breaker box. I wonder if had anything to do with it?

I don't know why you are talking about a cord and an EV charging outlet.

You asked about Generlink. Yes, a Lightning can use it with their special cord.

If you want to do it yourself, the 30amp outlet can connect to a generator plug, with the ground disconnected on the cord, just fine.

You're trying to use your EV charging outlet as input to your panel. No interlock, so no way to ensure that the mains are disconnected. Very dangerous. With the main breaker off, and the ground disconnected on the cord, it should work fine. I have no idea what your solar panels do to the equation.

I just noticed we have the same vehicles. I have the same truck, silver. I just bought a Premium Mach-e 2025 ER, white. I traded my Tesla Model 3 in for it.
Thanks for the reply. I never tried or used an interlock.

If you're trying to backfeed power into your house through your EV charging outlet and disconnecting bonds, please just stop what you're doing and call an electrician before you kill your self and your family. Not being a jerk. I'm very serious.

This is exactly what I was thinking after reading the post and the authors first couple follow up's.
