I don’t remember the code but it was listed as a checksum error. The HSM settings are a little different from the others. Every line in the as-built has a checksum, it’s the two dashes on the end that Forscan will calculate for you. In the HCM section the line 734-11-01 is a separate checksum for the whole module. I think I had missed the last 1 on the 734-03-02 line but I’m not certain.

APIM 7D0-09-01 x1xx xxxx xx--
APIM 7D0-09-03 xxCx xxxx xx--
IPMA 706-01-01 xxxx xxx9 xx--
SCCM 724-04-01 xxx4 xxxx xx--
IPC 720-01-01 xx8x xxxx xx--
IPC 720-10-01 xxxx xxx3 xx--
HCM 734-01-02 xxxx x2xx xx-
HCM 734-03-02 xxxx xxx1 x1--
HCM 734-11-01 0735 89

And here are my codes when it was all done.

The green telltale on the IPC, when it is displayed, only shows that the IPC module code was chaged.

For the glare free function to work ALL of the six modules involved have to have their appropriate code lines changed.

These modules interact and the IPC module only controls the IPC display.

I hope this is useful info.

Has anyone here been in another vehicle while their wife or someone has driven their lightning at night on a highway just to see how the glare free looks both oncoming and following and going from brights to dims, etc.? Just wondering what the experience is. Perhaps time for an experiment.

Well I'm getting access to Forscan again tonight. Going to triple check everything and report back. Will have a long, dark, and rural drive back to the burbs to see if it finally does what everyone says it should be doing.

Definitely not a mod for me, all urban and suburban stomping grounds. Interesting read none the less, I was curious what it was all about.

Thank you for posting this as a reference for my double check. We missed the APIM module reset. That did the trick.

As a city driver, I can confirm that this mod is worth it. If you’re not noticing it, something is wrong.

I was expecting to see more of the side of the road based on what others said. I assumed it was just going to be the passenger side. The driver side of the road and bar ditches are completely illuminated. It took me by surprise.

I do notice some reflective signs wig it out.

It’s obvious when it’s working. I was pulling up to a 4 way stop. A car coming toward me turned, and I watched a black rectangle follow the car as it passed across me. I’m really impressed and am no longer considering going back to auto high beams.

Well we had a thick heavy fog last night here in Kansas. Had a chance to drive 50 miles through it. What I found is that with the headlights switch in the regular 3rd position with the green headlight and automatic brights and dims that it automatically switches to brights in the heavy fog. It would pick up an oncoming car and dim for it but then go back to bright. Of course that was just to blinding to see much. Had to switch it over to the 4th headlamp position and run on dims all the time. I tried the brights and the brights in the 4th position was the same as in the automatic 3rd position.

So for now I'm going to add a couple fog lights. I have a couple auxiliary lights on my other pickup that mount with a 1/2" bolt which I can drill a hole down low in the bumper cover. Just need a switch and maybe a relay and where to wire it to. Any ideas? Can I order a switch and relay from Amazon?

On another note, I sat on a dark road the other night and cycled through brights and dims in the 3rd headlight automatic position and the 4th headlamp manual position just watching the ditches. In all of those changes I never saw a flicker of light change in the ditches on the sides. Those side lights were just solid.
