Grasping at straws but I notice you have a 2023 and my next question becomes do you still have the original 12V battery?

SOH is not solely based on battery capacity. Mine shows 95% SOH and yet I can still get 131kWh when I charge to full. The OP also indicated that he's already achieving greater than advertised useable capacity when charging to full. So I don't think a 100-10-100 charge cycle will improve much.

Age and temperature exposure *should* also be factoring in (would really be nice to know more about SOH reading from Ford). However if the truck thinks the battery is basically brand new, that's even more puzzling as to why the SOH is relatively low.

There is a small possibility that the greater than nominal capacity at full may be resulting in bad math for the truck's calculation. @msadan Do you recall if you were able to get 100kWh when the SOH reported 99%?

The other thing I noticed is that your voltage at 100% SOC is a bit lower than I see in mine. Mine is an extended range, but I think they are supposed to be about the same voltage and the ER packs just have more Ah. Is that not the case? Can anyone else with a SR pack report their voltage at 100% SOC?
I agree with what you say, however the procedure will give the BMS the opportunity to reset the energy parameters to current levels and, in doing so, allow other calculations to be corrected. If it is truly 100kwh at 95.9% SOC, then the numbers won't change.

It is the original 12V battery, but I test it every 6 months with a load tester and it has always tested good.

I have seen that done (in videos) with Nissan Leafs by some one warning folks who are buying used ones that it could be done. In the Leaf though, after a few miles of driving, everything is readjusted to the actual values.

So a search says (FWIW):

Owners using OBD-II diagnostic apps (like Car Scanner) have reported that high-voltage battery age parameters and State of Health (SoH) metrics can occasionally re-index or reset to zero following deep module flashes, telematics (TCU) hard resets, or 12V battery power cuts.

Permanent modifications or forced deep re-calibrations of the High Voltage Battery Energy Control Module (BECM) require official Ford diagnostic software (FDRS) at a service dealerships

Does FORscan or FDRS show any DTCs?

That would be where I'd start looking.

PS I think I've seen this reported on another forum as well.

Like so many other odd things in the Lightning, this could be a result of a 12v battery glitch.

Just a warning - Most consumer-grade load testers do not properly test capacity which is what our Lightnings need. The tiny 35ah battery degraded to 20ah can test fine but still give you lots of grief on the Lightning. In any case, I'm curious how long your 12v will run.

Also, you should not do a load test on a vehicle battery while it is in the vehicle...to do it properly, disconnect it, fully charge it, let it sit for several hours to settle and then do the load test.

If you did test it properly, then forgive me.
If you did it while in the vehicle that COULD possibly cause a glitch in the computer system.

Just a thought.

It's always checked when fully charged and out of the vehicle. I could definitely see where testing it while still connected could do interesting things...

IDK, but I'm wondering if it's the BMS module is faulty.
BMS….we are talking about the HV battery right?
If so that would be the BECM.
And you can reset the learned values info in the BECM using FDRS.

or are we talking about the 12v battery?
