Is the Software Updates menu always visible?

In the Sync settings, is the Software Updates menu always visible? Or only when an update is available? I can’t find it in my settings, below connectivity.

After initially turning on the truck, first several seconds or so some features in the vehicle settings menu might not populate until the telematics has made a connection to the cloud, eventually it should be visible. Is it not loading at all on your Sync screen?

Right, it never shows up. Software Updates are enabled in the app.

I was not able to help him get it resolved, but I did find a setting in the APIM that has something to do with this. In his case, it was already enabled, yet he still does not show that option in his touchscreen:

I am not 100% confident this is the setting that needs to be enabled in order for that option to be there, but it is the only thing I was able to find in the APIM that I can relate to the issue.
