Our '22 Mustang has already paid for itself with our driving habits. The Lightning will do so within another year, maybe two years if we keep driving the way we have been.

If you think Ford is unreliable…Stellantis is even worse.I am thinking the same, trucks been in shop for three weeks “high voltage“ ???

Depends on how hot she is I guess… I’d might be able to look past it happening onceGoing through a module replacement is a bit like having your hot girlfriend cheat on you. You loved everything about her and had a beautiful relationship....right up until that point. Suddenly, you can't trust her anymore. And once "You've lost that lovin' feeling...it's gone, gone, gone...whoa-oh-oh-oh..."![]()

waiting to hear back but doubtful, Nevada Lemon law is the same thing over and over breaking, mine has been different things each time. Last night I couldn't get the frunk to close and latch. It took me time searching but figured out that the latch closed and locked without it being down, a screwdriver fixed it but just another annoying issue. You posted earlier:
"List of things that have broke on my Lighting in 9 months
defroster trim was lifting
Battery Diverter Valve
2 Battery Modules
2 Seat covers
Heater inside cabin stopped working
Tailgate motor
Charge port replaced wouldn’t open for high speed charge
Pretty horrible situation for a $95k vehicle"
I can see why you are upset and vented. However, if you paid $90k+, you will take a huge hit if you bail now just as the OP has done.
Perhaps the dealer you are using is part of your complaint?
Perhaps the worst is behind you?
Perhaps Nevada will agree you have a lemon?
For those planning to keep the truck a decade, the "market" is irrelevant. For those saying to hold and the future depreciation is exaggerated, just wait another 1-3 years when these extremely cheap leases are up and the trucks flood the used market.
Maybe you remember, maybe you don’t, but Ford actually LOWERED the price of a new Lightning after the details of the new EV rebates were known (lowered so more ER battery vehicles would qualify for the EV tax credit). Instant $10 depreciation hit for all earlier purchasers. Ford could have acknowledged their smackdown of 2022 and early 2023 buyers by offering them a special credit toward the purchase of another new Ford in the future. Any kind of concession at all would have been a nod toward customer appreciation. But no. Nothing. Stung at the time, still stings to remember it- but what goes around comes around, and someday those buyers will be shopping for new trucks, and will remember how much Ford appreciated their “donations.”…Stating you would have stuck with the brand if they were more friendly? Were you not present when YOU made the deal? Did they shackle you to the seat and make you sign?…
Maybe you remember, maybe you don't. When Ford announced the initial Lightning prices, they were substantially lower, so we all knew what they were supposed to cost. Due to overwhelming amounts of preorders, a pandemic, chip shortages, they increased the prices because they had no way of meeting demand. Dealers then tacked on another 25k above msrp. If you did not know you were overpaying at that time, I can't help you. This isn't a Ford thing, it happens for almost every product out there. When demand outpaces supply, prices get raised. There are two types of people, people like me who say, hell no, I'll wait until supply meets demand and prices drop, and then there are others that want to be first. They get to enjoy the spotlight of being first, get all the attention of showing their truck that nobody's seen before, etc. That comes at a price. No different than the Cybertruck, no different than the Silverado EV. Ford owes you squat because you made the decision to buy at the time you did and got to enjoy the perks that came with it. Most dealers have major sales at year end. Do you hold a grudge if you bought before the sale? Sorry, I just don't relate to this concept of blaming someone else for my decisions.Maybe you remember, maybe you don’t, but Ford actually LOWERED the price of a new Lightning after the details of the new EV rebates were known (lowered so more ER battery vehicles would qualify for the EV tax credit). I don’t regret buying the truck. I would not have paid over MSRP to a dealer, even for a truck I’d waited for and wanted for a long time- my dealer’s policy was to sell customer-ordered Lightnings at MSRP.Maybe you remember, maybe you don't. The RAV team will contact you with offers. I believe Nevada has simmilar “usage charges” based on miles on odometer at first time you contacted them. Floe example Florida uses 120,000 miles as a base. If you reported first issue at 12,000 miles the usage charges will be 12,000/120,000 =10% of purchase price. My Buyback was approved!
