I completely forgot about that :cwl:
Insiders stuff. Didn't know there was a club name !
Many moons ago he called us tweakers(those of us that dabble with forscan and FDRS) I said it sounded like I was some kind of drug addict. So I guess I made up the name, but he gets the credit.???

I think 24127 is the latest version for genpop. 25094 has only been out a month and I think was initially EAP. However, looking at the 25094 OTA thread, seems an assortment of folks have it. @TaxmanHog removed the EAP flag.
Add me to the 25094 list. Mine wasn’t done OTA, I had the dealer install it when I took the truck in for a recall. I’m not EA.

Dealership updated the BCM and IPMA modules for me and I updated everything else using FDRS. Blue cruise 1.4 was successfully enabled after I made the changes to the IPMA to enable the toggles. Two days later I got the update via OTA for BC 1.4. Definitely a correlation between which modules are up to date and when you get BC 1.4. Very happy now.

I had not used FDRS in a few months and this is what I found:
Ford F-150 Lightning Lightning Software Updates using FDRS IMG_1949

Crazy!!
Is there a way to see which version these updates were because I know I have done most of them in the past so I assume these were newer updates?
ACM would not clear I assume this is normal as others have been in the past?

Well you'd sort of have to be keeping a tracking spreadsheet really to keep up.

I gave that up a couple years ago :)

Powertrain updates are released a few times a year on average...sometimes more (in the case of the Mach-E as an example).

Yes, that ACM update that wouldn't die is still with us.

New FDRS update this morning which is a major revision from '44' to '45' so make sure you tick the box to delete your user info during the install to avoid formatting errors or other issues when running the new version. Here's the download link.

I had to update to that version yesterday afternoon maybe that is why I had some trouble. I was still on 42.something.
I would have mentioned it if I had known it was brand new!
I also had to update the firmware in my Bosch Mastertech unit but I don’t think it really changed anything??
I had to do the ABS and the SOBDMB(I think that was the one) twice due to it not completing I was doing it between 5 and 6 PM so I’m wondering if they were updating their servers during the time I was trying to do my updates??

Anytime you go from one major revision to another one, you really need to remove the existing user data to keep the new version from coughing up hairballs using your previous session data etc.

That might have been what caused the problem, but there's no way to tell really. What I can suggest is something I was told by Ben at the helpdesk a couple of months ago. Just rerun the setup again over top of the existing version you have now and select the remove user data checkbox when you do it. You don't have to uninstall first.

My power supply was not sufficient for the IPMA update, heed the advice here and do not skimp on the power supply. This is the tom foolery I got up to today to keep the battery from dying during my IPMA update...it worked but I'm not proud of it.

The sinking feeling of "oh, f-k, please don't brick it, please don't brick it, please don't..." is NOT worth the $100-200 you might save by going the budget route.

I tried it, and I do not recommend it.
This.

Don't feel bad at all....that's how I ended up enabling BlueCruise on my 2021 Mach-E back in March of '22.

The original leaders in getting BlueCruise to function was the F-150 forum guys. Months before the Mach-E forum. I had both a '21 F-150 Powerboost and a '21 Mach-E and I was getting nowhere with my dealer service enabling a feature I had paid for on both. So like others I bought the Mongoose and a FDRS subscription and a little PL2320 and got to work...on the truck first. This is before the TSB to enable BC was even out.

Well that actually worked (using the PL2320) due to the giant 12V battery in the Powerboost....So I was very pleased after updating all modules that I got the notification in FP that BC was now active.

And then I moved over to the Mach-E.....well everything was going fine...since you have to do a lot of shorter updates before you get to the IPMA......I mean, the CMR did cause me some concern when I saw the voltage dip down to 10.1V.

But then I started on the IPMA...and very quickly realized that I was in trouble. So I pulled the Powerboost alongside and ran an additional set of jumpers piggyback from the truck to the leads from the PL2320 connected to the jump points, and then had to keep making sure the ICE engine on the Powerboost (Stop/Start) kept running until the programming ended (like 3 hours later).

I immediately went in and ordered a PL6100 from Ebay and haven't looked back.

But you aren't the only one who's learned this lesson the hard way, believe me. :)
