im currently going through this exact ordeal. My issue occured AFTER the dealer installed the recall modules. They said the charge port shot a code and they have to replace it. They said its not covered by the Ford warranty. im being charged a $250 deductible because i bought the extended warranty.
When my charge port had to be replaced in my Mach-e, it was covered. Even though I was still in my 3-year 36000 bumper to bumper, I was also told that it's covered under the 8-year 100,000 mi battery and charging warranty.

If you are under 100,000 mi, I would push back and try and have them cover it under the high voltage electrical system warranty.

The online warranty guides https://www.ford.com/support/vehicle/f150-lightning/2023/owner-manuals/

(2) The high voltage battery and eDrive systems of your vehicle are covered by the Electric Vehicle Component coverage for eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
High voltage battery and eDrive components covered by this warranty include the high voltage battery assembly, Bussed Electrical Center (BEC), Battery Energy Control Module (BECM), on-board
charger
, Inverter System Controller (ISC), DC/DC converter, and eDrive.

Sure they'd find a way to lawyer themselves out of that since only the on-board charger is mentioned. Nothing about the port itself.

The charge port is definitely covered by the 8 year EV component warranty. I had to have mine replaced in my Mach-E at about 4 years/4x,xxx miles and didn’t pay a cent.

The word "include" does not say "only" so I'd argue the point with the dealership AND get Ford customer relations folks involved as well...

"Include" does not mean exclude / is not an exclusion of other things - they did not say "only includes" or "is limited to" - I am a lawyer so I'd argue it if it were me.

After two weeks of troubleshooting they removed and replaced the SOBDM.
Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module, primarily found in Ford electric vehicles like the Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning. This module functions as the onboard AC charger, controlling Level 1 and Level 2 charging, managing charging schedules, and monitoring the charge port indicators. It is also responsible for a variety of diagnostic functions related to the vehicle's charging system and can be updated or replaced to fix issues, such as charging problems or unexpected 12V battery drains.
Level 2 charging is working. Will try DC Fastcharging this weekend.
