I decided to see what updates were waiting for me and had my VIN run (Shoutout to @rugedraw!) and found that there were almost a dozen that my 23 Lariat had not yet received. I decided to go the mongoose/FDRS route, and ordered the mongoose, a forscan cable, and a 75 amp charger.

After delivery and several hours of studying the forums here (thank you all)… and several hours of updates, I have an updated truck (except for the dealer-only BCM update). I did have to use Forscan to show the BC 1.4 toggles, but also added the glare free headlights while I was there (after full backup of each module).

Took a glorious 140 round trip on the highway last weekend and it was everything that others have said… smooth and a pleasure to drive. Maybe also psyching myself out here, but it even feels like a different truck.

i get that dealerships don’t get paid to do the updates… but it really sucks not having the latest updates because they can’t figure out how to get them to customers.

PS… if anyone in Maine needs a hand updating, let me know.

welcome to the dark side. You can use the mongoose for FORScan also.

Are we putting experiences down here? Is there another thread for that?

Cool beans. I used it multiple times today on my one "commute" day of the week. The auto-lane change works as advertised although I want to stress test it a little more (see if Sparky will realize he can't go into an occupied lane, properly supervised of course). I have tested how the adaptive speed control works on windier roads...it's a little janky but I thought I felt improvement with automatic breaking. Could be a placebo, but it seemed like when I let Sparky break himself in traffic he was a little lighter on the lead foot. Overall, very pleasant experience with the updates! Keep 'em coming, I say.

I successfully received and installed the update last night but I don’t see the options shown in your pics.
I had previously enabled it with Forscan, and as I mentioned in another post, I never looked at the menu because I didn’t know that was part of the change!
As others have mentioned, it’s supposed to come in a later update.

Yeah, strange @TaxmanHog is still left out. He’s our in-house media influencer who’s been getting all the fast charging adapters first.

In this world of OTA’s, I can see auto companies sending OTA’s to influencers first. Especially things that have a cost, like the Mach-E performance boost.

If it wasn’t around 1800 miles(and if you didn’t mind being a tweaker) I would do it for you!!

ha I was thinking the same. Shame the measures we have to resort to just to get updates in a timely manner.

Thanks for the offer, I'm fine waiting, it will come at some point.

We're just getting into the motorcycling season (last freezing morning was today), if I did a long road trip I'd rather do it on the Road Glide!

Interestingly with the newest update to the Skyline infotainment operating system via flash drive, I can now do subsequent updates via the bikes wifi connection to my home network, I also can update the OEM navigation map files through the same connection at will.
