May have been slower to activate than it liked, since it showed that message, it likely saved an OBD code you can reference to get more info on what went wrong.

Try testing the parking brake to see if it's actually working or not.

In a safe level place, put the truck in neutral, using the 30 minute lockout timer.

Manually activate the parking brake.

Open the door, and see if the truck is held fast from rolling forward of backward, a helper might make the test easier.

If the warnings persist and parking brake is not doing its job, I'd get the truck into service ASAP.

Were you parked on an incline? Parking brake is supposed to automatically engage at certain degrees of incline (not sure what the threshold is). Maybe it detected the incline but the brake didn’t engage?

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I was going about 30MPH downhill when the diagnostic appeared. There was also a fast bing-bing-bing sound, then the diag went away. I will do an OBD dump tomorrow and report.

I've never seen an error code in that format. Usually start with a letter AFAIK
