And when you go out to car #1 and the app is set to car #2 and it's not smart enough to switch just based on your location in the garage at the time! What an inconvenience! That's why you should only buy 1 vehicle of each make! 😝

Is anyone else having problems with PAAK? Mine works intermittently at best. I was having to use the touch pad to get in and enter passcode to start so often that I started carrying my key fob!
It works perfectly with my Samsung S25.

I find it pretty reliable with my iPhone but it does have a few quirks.
  • If your phone has been locked for a period of time, it will not allow me entry to the truck until it is unlocked. I can unlock and relock my phone, and it will open the truck. I don't know what the timeframe is for this, but this is very different than carrying a keyfob. This may also be affected by my corporate security on my phone, so others may not see this.
  • If you have two Ford vehicles, it takes a frustrating amount of time to switch from one to the other. It is only 20-30 seconds, but standing at the door waiting makes it particularly frustrating, especially with driveway shuffles.
  • Showing up at the dealer or service shop without the Fob....
  • Parking at a friend's and they need to move it for some reason while you are out.
In any case, I find it best to take a key fob when leaving town just in case. I carry a keyfob in my travel bag with the battery inverted so it isn't live.
