Good afternoon guys and gals. I was side swiped on the back of my f150 2024 lightning platinum and started into a spin across the highway on June 30th; while spinning I was hit by a corvette and continued my spin followed by an abrupt stop due to 1 pedal drive; the truck would not turn back on.
The police cut the harness; the damage has been deemed cosmetic and no frame damage however it has been in a shop for a month and sitting on a lot because they can not roll or drive it; damage the motors; so it took 3 weeks to get a harness and that didnāt restart the truck.
Then the truck was shipped to a ford dealer nearby; they used the FDRS to reprogram the truck to see if it will drive - it didnāt do anything; so now they ordered RCM module and have to replace that - it will be 6 weeks without any fixes; the insurance company will not total it yet since it is 3 months old; if the RcM is replaced and FDRS canāt clear the memory by Tuesday they will have to get new sensors for the airbag electronics and then possibly go into the high voltage battery packs to fix it; donāt know how far they will go but this crazy.
I will keep u posted on additional news that I find out; there are tons of error codes; so it will take time to figure out the ford ev specialist said; they donāt do this very much so it is new to them they said lol
