Forgive me if this has already been posted. I did try and look for a previous post and I found several relating to the guess-o-meter but I couldn't find any answering this specific quesiton.

I reset my driving history and charged the battery to 100 percent. The guess-o-meter showed 313 miles instead of 330. I have a 23 lariat ER. The truck sat at the dealership for 8 months before being sold and who knows what their charging practice was - i.e. was it on charge to 100% for months?

Shouldnt the miles at 100% charge show 330 after resetting the driving history? Is there any way that this could indicate a diminished battery?

Thank you for your input!

Typically 320 miles, but lately there has been variation, temperatures in your area have an impact, what is the weather like in "Northern California" at this moment or when you made the observation?

313 out of 320 is 97.8% of expectation, your truck is fine, enjoy it!!!!

When you drove a gas-powered vehicle, did the DTE always show the exact same miles at every fill up?
I’m coming from a 2009 Hyundai Sonata. I’ve never had a DTE.

Temperature. Right. I didn’t realize that the range estimator takes current temperature into account. Thank you for clarifying.

Mine was 320 miles when I picked it up at the dealer. That is what they state.

313 miles is not far off....and the reality is you probably won't drive more than 250 miles and then charge. Could be less if you are driving 80 miles an hour, up I-95 and it is 20 degrees out.

Here's another vote for "Don't sweat it".

We call the estimated range the Guess-o-Meter because nobody is sure how or why it decides to display the range that it does. Battery state of charge and recent driving history definitely play into it, as does the destination set in navigation (if any), but there are likely other factors, too -- current battery pack temperature, for example.

If you're really concerned, you can use software to read the battery state of health via the OBD connector. I have an OBD BLE dongle and connect to it from ABRP. It reads a number of parameters including battery health from the truck and uses them for trip planning. For example, in ABRP, my truck shows 0.5% degradation after 11,000 miles (including multiple 900-1200 mile road trips with fast charging in 95-degree+ weather), meaning I've lost less than 1kWh of pack capacity (probably to fast-charging on hot Southern summer days).

I'm guessing yours would show a near-perfect battery, too.
