All my updates have come in clusters. 4-5 over a couple weeks, then nothing for months.Same here, and I wasn't previously so far behind. But it's been crickets for 4 or 5 months.
You’re who I pay attention to as far as updates. My truck seems to be within a few days of getting the update after yours. This update installs tonight on mine.
I had 3 CSPs in my app and they are all gone this morning after the frunk update. No idea if the update fixed them or if they expired. This morning I talked with my service advisor (whose very into EV’s) and she said the FHCM-24.AC.AD (frunk operation) OTA download took care of the CSP 24P24.
Updates are not always sequential. That Frunk update was from last year, but I had still gotten all other updates including BC1.4 and the new APIM update a week or so ago. There is no rhyme or reason. I would LOVE the 500amp charging update, but I haven't seen that one in a while.this is bananas...im almost a year behind in updates. just got this one last night. Hi Jim,I found a reason today to look forward to the frunk update - a new glitch I've never experienced before. I keep my truck in a garage. I regularly trickle charge the LVB. And until this past week, I've been disconnecting the wires, closing the frunk each day, and reopening it the next.
I thought, "Why the heck am I doing this?! I'll just leave the frunk open all the days I don't drive the truck." So, I've started the truck plugged in or not, locked, and unlocked the doors over several days with the frunk up the whole time. I even got the karaoke update while the truck was parked in the garage, just as I pulled into the garage and shut off the engine some days ago; it was still downloading.
Today, I removed all the wires and tried to close the frunk. Won't work via FordPass with the truck off or on or via the frunk button on the truck dash to the left of the steering wheel with the truck turned on (I didn't try the button on the frunk hood). After gently manually pushing the hood shut and letting the frunk lock itself, things were back to normal.
I think I was able to open and close the frunk via FordPass quite a few times after getting the karaoke update, so I suspect something else is responsible for my "frunk won't close" glitch.
I use a trickle charger on my truck cuz it sits for a week or more at a time at our cabin. I use a 5 amp Battery Tender model and connect it via a quick plug I put in the frunk that’s connected to the 12 volt battery terminals.Hi Jim,
A little off topic here but can I ask why you use a trickle charger? does your truck sit for long periods of time between drives?
Yes, my truck may sit for days before I drive it again (I just had an inguinal hernia repair operation and am not supposed to drive for 5 to 7 days, for example). I started trickle charging because of the updates that required >80% SOC to run. Then, according to ChatGPT, keeping the LVB as close to 100% SOC is best for 12V lifespan. I also charge via my FCSP at 24 amps rather than 80, as I read on the forum that the LVB can be charged while the truck is charging, and slow charging the HVB will provide the most opportunity to charge up the LVB a bit (don't know whether this is apocryphal or not).A little off topic here but can I ask why you use a trickle charger? does your truck sit for long periods of time between drives?
