Return to Sport not returning

I have also noticed this. It will ask me to return and select yes. It'll stay in sport for about 10 seconds, at least the gauges seem to indicate and then it the gauges change to normal. Looking forward to an update to fix this.

I had an interesting interaction this morning...On startup it asked if I wanted to remain in sport, I nearly immediately selected yes, the prompt disappears, less than a second later, it asks again, select yes again, and it stayed in sport.

Same issue here and I'd also add the other day when I remote started and got in the truck 5 or so mins later, foot on brake, press start, got the prompt asking to stay in sport mode, selected yes then I brought up the screen with modes and confirmed it was on sport and then about 1-2 secs later I watched it change to normal mode on it's own.

If they would just set default to last user setting it would cure the nonsense of switching.

Y'all, Ford absolutely knows about this. I reported it right when the update came out via Early Access Program. Then Ford responded to me via email and they even state they are working on the fix.

There's no doubt about that, but details matter such as the timing of the reversion and in my situation yesterday where it asked me twice help pinpoint the logic fail. Also, they just don't want you to use sport so there are fewer warranty claims, at least that's the theory I will be promoting.

Hey Brian @Ford Motor Company, I hope Ford doesn’t back burner or forget this fix as they shift focus to their EREV.

I don’t know if it’s related, but when this bug showed up with the previous update, I also started getting random “dings” occasionally on start up with no message. Similar to the one where you look away too long with BC or when entering a school zone. I’ll describe it as a “bong bong”.

FYI I have this case open w ford on it. Did it like the day or two after I got the update via the early access program. They stated engineers r working on it weeks ago. Maybe they are.

It makes you even wonder what the point of the EAP program is because I've seen multiple people say they reported it and yet they still released it to the masses...

I haven't figured out the timing or number of presses, if anything, but at least 3 times now I've cycled between yes and no for a bit before stopping on yes and it stayed in sport if anyone wants to help figure it out

Yeah, the fact that so many hours have to pass to test it makes it kinda annoying and difficult.

My return to sport pop-up worked this morning, I had used it yesterday afternoon to enhance my regen-braking performance, it was diminished in normal drive mode which I attributed to the HVB being at at optimized 100% SOC.

Funnily enough, when I posted that my return to sport worked, right? Then the next long rest of the truck (after work) I got no popup and it went straight to normal....Crazy......
