I thought I saw a video of a guy just unplugging it? He reached under the front bumper and unplugged the speaker in 5 seconds. Is that not the one?

I did too. I was under the impression it’ll throw errors on the dash.

I just want to change up the routine of announcing to the entire neighborhood that I have arrived, or departed. 😀

Read the link in post 4 and there are other posts here (e.g., look below at the section called Similar Threads). Will explain all the options you have.

IIRC just unplugging can throw errors and the inevitable corrosion on the exposed connections can make reversal difficult.

Yup. I don’t like experiments. Just confirming the bit in my first post works, buying it.

The reverse alarm is there for a reason. The truck is very quiet, you don't want the misfortune of hitting someone. It really isn't that loud. I know what you are thinking, my truck will automatically stop and alert me that something is there. Maybe it will, I wouldn't stand behind my truck wnile my wife tried to back over me.

I just want the Humpty Dumpty noise to go away.

Yeah, sort of surprised that there's not an option to change the beep to a different noise. I was at a supercharger the other day and a cybertruck pulled up. When he locked his doors, it did the "Iron Man Repulsor Charging" sound.

I frankly see no value in it whatsoever, my gas powered car before this one was way quieter when backing up

Well, sort of like being able to change your ringtone from whatever the default is. I will admit, at least it's not quite as obnoxious as the back up beeping on my box truck.

IIRC, the 2025 trucks have a different sound that is a softer tone. Either way, it’s still annoying to everyone around you when you’re hooking up a trailer at a campground in the morning.

I can't hear the forward motion sound it makes but I could hear the garbage truck backing into my carport every time before resistor install.
