Working on troubleshooting, but I installed PZ1P-7P155-AC about a month ago and am currently having issues with it. I have caught it out of the corner of my eye at night "Shifting" to park while on the highway. I'm not sure if it is rebooting or what is going on. I had a DTC set for "Lost communications with the GSM" stored in the IPC, but it has been awhile since I have cleared codes. It hasn't caused any issues as of yet, but I am either going to swap to a motorized shifter or back to stock to see if it goes away at this point. It wouldn't be so obvious if my Comma didn't alert when it happens, so keep an eye on ya'lls just in case.
For what it is worth, my shifter passes FDRS self testing. So it seems the truck itself is fine with it.

I bought this on eBay. Description says "New OEM Ford Escape 2020-2022 Automatic Transmission Shift Lever LX6Z-7P155-U". But the picture in the listing shows PZIP-7P155-AC.

Actual part on arrival was indeed PZIP-7P155-AC. And it is stamped with FoMoCo. I would be wary of the clones. You can see the difference in the photos:

Real:

China clone: Note lack of part number and FoMoCo. Also diamond pattern on the bottom instead of smooth.

I have not installed it so can't tell if it is motorized or has the trim ring ambient light.

Same seller and listing i bought from. Its not motorized. They have the PZ1P listed as both part numbers.

Be careful that the part #s stamped on body are sub-parts of the full assembly. The top level part # might not be shown or stamped. The manufacturer I work for does this all the time.

Besides the party trick, why do we care if it's motorized or not?

I mean, on the stick it matters for obvious reasons, but with the rotary... ?

I would prefer motorized so I can feel when I hit drive and park. Having it infinitely spin is slightly annoying. Not so much on the logical side of it, I would like to have the motorized version since the truck came with a motorized shifter.

I wasn't having any issues with my stock shifter, I just wanted the extra storage space.

Interesting, that is the first one that breaks the pattern that was building. Also disappointing since I was looking forward to it. Did you buy it new?
Interestingly, my -U is motorized. I finally got around to installing it this morning. Power off the vehicle and it goes (quietly) with a motorized action into P.

What's the part number? Are you sure its OEM? As mentioned earlier, the non OEM seems to be motorized.

Interesting. So far the other 2 OEM models matching that part number are non motorized.

Note that it will shift into park regardless if its motorized or not. The difference is that the outer ring will physically move. You also won't be able to rotate it passed "D".

I will double check whether the ring itself moves...

And the ring does move...
I ordered another LX6Z variant, it happened to be listed on ebay when I went looking. This one is brand new in Box: LX6Z-7P155-A. Hopefully it will confirm the LX6Z variants are actually motorized.
