Hi all, my first post here. F150 owner for 8 years, just got a used 2022 Lightning Lariat which is also my first EV.

A Tesla has a setting were you can get an audible warning when the posted speed limit is exceeded by a number of your choice. Does a 2022 F150 Lightning have such a feature? I found a setting under Car - Driver assist category but it only allows 5mph over the limit. These trucks are so smooth it's easy to go over the speed limit without noticing so I think it's an important feature.

Not aware of a built in setting, but if you're using Carplay or AA, Waze has an option to give an audible/visual warning that you're exceeding the speed limit. I personally have it disabled because, well, I don't want a speed nanny with me all the time; wife, when present, is enough, lol

By the time you would hear a warning, it's too late.

Gotta keep one eye on the speedometer when mashing it.

There is a setting to cause a flashing condition of the recommended speed limit for the route you're on, I've turned it off, it's also subtle visual alert, no dings or bongs.

Tip - many of the things that Teslas do or have, you won't find on the Lightning.

I take my wife with, I am told all kinds of things while drive, I get rapid updates about speed, road conditions, heck I can switch off navigation and I’ll still be directed to my destination…..

If you use Adaptive Cruise control (Far left steering wheel button) you can set whether you automatically go to the speed limit, with options for 5, 10, 15, 20 mph over (or below) the speed limit. Sadly the setting is within the vehicle settings on the big screen which takes several menu steps.

To use, you just get the truck moving by pressing gently on the gas and turn on the cruise control and have it accelerate "appropriately" to that setting. You can modify the target speed setting with the +/- buttons on the left of the steering wheel, and if you get the timing right you can actually move up in 5 mph increments. A bit of a PIA on very curvy roads with lots of speed limit changes but great on most roads and wonderful in traffic.

The bad - pressing on the brakes turns off cruise control. You have to press the middle left button to resume moving. In traffic if you stop a while it also turns off so the truck does not get moving on it's own but tells you to press the middle left button, though pressing the gas works as well. Unless you are in blue cruise, in which case it will let you stop and go on the highway automatically. I make playing with cruise control and lane keeping a game because you can't just set and ignore.

That trim level comes with other features I'd rather not deal with LOL
