Man, I’m glad I had the 15” screen in mine. I did not remove anything on the dash. Just removed the side trim and top trim Easy Peasy; Bobs your uncle.

Might look closely here because I think some that removal is based on removing the column shifter and connecting the stable one.

For those of you with 12" displays having done this mod... Does the video below show the correct steps applicable to our trucks in terms of center console trim removal?
Hey, I just did this mod on my XLT with 12" screen. Wish I had watched this video first! But yes, our dash trim removal is very similar. Start at top like he did , then pop off the long horizontal piece that contains the push to start switch. From there, just remove the 4 screws from climate bezel . I didn't disconnect any connectors, there is enough slack to just rest it on front storage area. Then off with the lower trim and console bezel. I did remember to stow handle prior to removal, just to make it easier to store if I want to revert back.

Wasn't too bad, did it in the dark, but did manage to lose a trim clip by the passenger air vent.
Worth the wait for 3D print, and I am enjoying it so far. I will say, I must have rested my hand on shifter more than I realized, keep catching myself reaching for it and feeling my hand drop haha.

Good luck, let me know if you have any questions.

Awesome! Thanks for the tips. I 3D printed my console yesterday and now waiting for the new shifter to arrive!

Wow that PETG-GF came out really nice, what was your layer height on that?

Just kept it to the standard 0.2 mm. The whole print took about 10 hours and used less than 400 grams of material.

Got mine printed yesterday. Used @masonta 's model (thanks!) with the Nalgene holder. I have an Elegoo Centauri Carbon and used PETG-GF (glass fiber) filament. I am blown away at the print quality! I love the finish just the way it came out.

I've also got the Elegoo Centauri Carbon and was curious as to your slicer settings you did, if you still have the gcode file I would love a copy if you don't mind? Was going to print mine off soon and was going to use ABS however starting to think I should grab some PETG-GF going off how good yours turned out!

I decided to give @mr.Magoo 's design a try and absolutely loving it! I think the dial is much more comfortable/convenient in the forward position and I have no need for a third cup holder from some of the other designs.

The install was a bit harder (compounded by my lack of skill because I can't install heat set inserts straight), but nothing some patience didn't fix.

I printed it myself using Bambu Lab PA6-GF in Blue, on my Bambu Lab X1C. I love the color and as a 3D printing enthusiast, I wanted it to pop instead of trying to make it look OEM.

Shifter is from a 2022 Ford Maverick
Part # NZ6P7P155AD
