I have a 2023 XLT with the 18's OEM tires and I'm about 30k miles and I'm probably going to have to replace them in the next couple months. What's everyone's experience/miles with the OEM tires with their Lightnings. I do tend to give this truck the beans often which definitely doesn't help I know that but this truck is too much fun to drive like an old man

My 2022 Lariat ER is still on the original tires at 61k miles. I'm extraordinarily impressed with them, though I do not accelerate or break hard. I suspect I'll replace them in the next 6 months.

I want to get the same (or better) efficiency with new tires, but I would very much consider the same tires to get another 60k+ miles out of them.

I am at 51K on the original 18” Michelin tires on my 2023 Pro SR. Based on the tread wear indicators, I probably have a couple more thousand miles to go. I rotate my tires regularly, am attentive to keeping them at the correct pressure, and don’t turn stoplights into drag races.

Overall, I have been pleased with the original equipment tires and may replace them with like kind. However, I know that many new EV specific tires have been released in the last couple years and would love to know if any of them are either more efficient or a better value than the Michelins.

2022 ER w/ 20" General Grabber AS. I had to replace them just shy of the 30k mark.
2.1mi/kWh average on my truck.

Everyone has a different tolerance though.

I replaced mine when the inner was at 5/32 and you can see I still had some tread before being even with the wear bars but the outer edges were worn down more than I'd like. Some folks might go another couple thousand on these...

General Grabber HTS60 275 60 R 20. I rotate them every 10k miles and make sure they are inflated properly. I have had to plug them a couple of times due to road debris, but that's not the fault of the tire.

https://generaltire.com/tires/light-trucksuv/grabber-hts60

I checked the manufacturer website and they are rated for 65k miles. They seem to be about where they should be. I appreciate how quiet they are on the highway. I average 2.2 miles/kWh going 70 with exterior temps in mid 90s and interior set to 74.

Everything about this truck is fantastic on the highway, especially with the latest BlueCrusie update. I'm not hijacking the thread, but I traveled on-ramp to off-ramp (107 miles each way) on I-75 without touching the steering wheel once. Simply amazing.

I've been rotating my tires with Discount Tire every 5k miles and they've worn pretty even I'm not quite at wear makers but with weight of the vehicle I don't want to push it too much. I know I'm at the point where Discount Tire probably wouldn't be willing to rotate them due the tread depth which I understand so I'm probably within 5k miles till I have replace them kinda just waiting for some more reviews on the EV specific tires before choosing a replacement set

I have the original 20" Hankooks (wouldn't have been my choice if I were buying tires) and the outside edges are wearing more than the rest of the tire. Not sure why, I suspect it has to do with the AWD and too much power in turns; alignment is perfect otherwise. I drive pretty conservatively. Currently at just shy of 26K miles. Hoping to make it to 30K miles and then I'll get an EV-specific highway-biased tire.

I’m in a similar boat, but I have the General Grabbers. Mine are at ~26k miles and I’ll probably have to get them replaced at 30k. They are the OEM tires, but I swapped wheels/tires with another Lightning owner when they were at 19k. I have no idea how aggressively he drove, but the outer edges of my tires are definitely wearing more than the rest. I’m a pretty conservative driver too.

22 Lariat ER, I had 43k on the Generals with no issues in 2 years. Shortly after Hurricane Milton had 2 punctures on the same day, one was not repairable.
Tires were rotated every 5k and had some life left. I replaced them with Michelin Defenders and after 15k miles couldn’t be happier.

I picked up a screw in the outer tread of one tire at 30k miles. Probably could have gone another couple of thousand miles but elected to replace all 4 at 30k.

My factory General Crappers went tits up at 16k miles. The belts were shot on three of them. Only explanation I have is that I was about 200 - 300 lbs overloaded with a bed full of LVP flooring going up a dirt road that wasn't in great condition. One went flat and my Neely tire plugs wouldn't work. One of the fronts had a bulge. Third one went flat on the way to Costco to get them replaced.

Put on a set of the Costco version of Michelin Defenders. They are so good I quickly got over having to spend $1,100 on tires at 16k miles.

Low tire pressure. Unless you've driven heavier trucks before, you wouldn't have known.

LOL, that might have been a little much for highway tires.

54k km's on my grabbers before a puncture, going to an Lt next.

Even new the Grabbers were junk compared to the Defenders. They weigh 5 lbs less than the Defenders yet I've noticed no range hit.
