Truck’s car play always trying connecting to wife’s iphone

So I currently have two iPhones connected to the truck. But for some reason it always chooses to connect to my wife’s phone first. Many times even when it isn’t present. I drive the truck 99% of the time. So don’t understand, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have this issue also. My wife thinks its hilarious. She says the truck just likes her better.

My wifes phone isnt even connected to carplay, just regular BT. It will always connect to her phone if shes in the living room when I leave and I have to wait until im a block away before it finds mine. All of our other fords had a "primary" device and there is no setting for that now. What i find really funny is the truck knows my phone is the PAAK and still chooses to connect to her phone lol.

I had the same problem. Make sure your phone is associated with your profile. For some reason mine was not and was always defaulting to her phone.

On your wifes phone,

[ANDROID] method
Settings, Connections, WiFi, Advanced, Manage networks,
Locate the SSID for the mobile device projection for your truck,broadcasts
Select it, turn off [Auto reconnect].

Hopefully that will prevent her phone from immediately establishing a connection to your truck.

Do not remove the SSID, so that she can manually establish a connection on the 1% of times she is using your truck.

I'm not an "Apple" user so hopefully the above tracks similarly in IOS

Same issue here, we both have iPhone and can't find a setting in the truck to prioritize connection.
