My 2024 got the orange wrench “service soon” icon on the dash today and my dealer put me up in a 2025 XLT Lightning loaner.

I noticed that they changed the backup beep for 2025. It’s now a different sound altogether and also much quieter than earlier model years. Unfortunately, the frunk beep is still the same.

Just something interesting I thought I’d share. I wonder what other small changes they made?

Now I’m curious to hear what it sounds like
It’s not a great recording, but here’s what it sounds like in my garage. I rolled down the window and recorded it from the driver seat.

I like it, has a bit of a church bell tone to it, seems softer as well.

I bet this is an easy part swap for 22-24 owners that prefer the new sound. I wouldn't spend the money on it, but I'm sure someone out there would.

I didn't think there was a way to disable the pedestrian sound speaker via Forscan. Can you provide the module and settings to do that?
Just take out your glovebox, unplug the PACModule on the passenger kick panel then make one change in FORScan to eliminate the nag message:

Change the 2nd nibble of the IPC Block 9 Group 2 from 4 -> 0
*or whatever change is appropriate for your trim level to disable AVAS

I removed my frunk speaker 2 years ago and it's so nice not waking up the neighborhood when I open/close the frunk.
Thought I saw that this throws a code now in the newer model years? Any confirmation? I'm in a 2024 and would love to silience the beeps as well!

Not sure, I have a '22 Lariat SR. I kept the speaker around just in case. It can be plugged back in as needed.
