This was our first vehicle that had voice commands and talked to us, so
we decided since it's an "AI-talking car" it had to be called - K.I.T.T.

Being a big Star Wars fan I call mine "The Falcon" after the Millennium Falcon. In sport mode, it does feel like it goes light-speed!

After relaying this story and viewing the dashcam footage, she was very lucky as she was well over 25+ MPH for awhile. In Colorado, they can arrest you if going 25+ and if convicted it's a 10 day minimum jail sentence.

Word to the wise, the Lightnings don't seem like they are going that fast, but they are and you can slide from the speed limit to 20+ nearly instantly and without realizing it.

You are so right! I was finding this an issue too and knew a ticket would be inevitable, so as a result (and because it's much easier to use now than the olden days switch on the cluster lever), I find myself using the cruise control even in the slower traffic of the city streets to regulate my speed and let Blue Cruise drive.

That's a crazy story btw! Love it.

Our F-150 is now called "Thunderbolt" to complement our new Tesla Model Y "Nighthawk". Both nicknames come from my time in the USAF.
