Getting this squeaking noise. Mechanic looked and can’t tell what it is but said safe to drive. Anyone have experience with something like this?

I would guess dirt in the brake shield.

Hard to clean without removing the wheel but sometimes a good rinsing will get it.

I don't have a lot to go on, but the frequency of the squeak seems to be difference than your speed. almost sounds like a blower fan squeak a long time ago on my chevy colorado, they do gain speed while driving from the air passing into the truck faster.

Try forcing the brake calipers to exercise and scrub the pads to rotors a few cycles.

In a safe area away from traffic, get up to speed, move drive mode to neutral, apply the brake pedal, moderately, then repeat with increasing force, this might scuff oxidation / rust from them and seat the pads.

Hope it's not a failing wheel bearing, there have been a few threads on bearings.

I had the same thing happen last winter. The mechanic found a rock wedged in my brake pad.

When I had my tires rotated the lead weights used during rebalancing made similar noise, noise went away after 100 miles or so after weight was “shaved” by whatever it was rubbing against, happens every time I rotate at dealership.

After a tire rotation and rebalance, performed at a Ford dealership, I had a weird squeak/click sound as I drove away. I immediately went back to the service advisor. In 15 minutes the problem was corrected. He explained to me that the tolerance for the wheel balancing weights on the Lightnings are much more critical than they are on the other F-150s; I gather that the brake calipers are slightly larger to deal with the extra weight. Not all service techs appreciate this small but important difference.

Great info for those with 18" or less wheels. When I bought mine, the dealer told me I shouldn't use my 17" winter setup from my previous f150. Couple of people have tried 17s but I've never heard about the wheel weights. Thanks!
