I highly doubt it will be any more than a very short block adapter. Introduction of any cord will introduce potential failure points that neither the charger or the vehicle can monitor or will know how to manage. It will probably look very close to the adapter block on the Magic Dock.

Oh, I knew that... there was a bit of sarcasm in my comment :)

@LUXMAN just shared with me DFW has a new SC that opened this week - it has Magic Docks. So they are expanding. I'm 27 miles away, but will have to make a trip over to check it out.

I was very glad to see that they are going to possibly continue adding these to their network.
It looks like it will provide a decent amount of revenue for them.
The membership is a bit pricey at $12.99 a month, but you do get juice at the same rate as Tesla, if you pay that.
So obviously a good deal if there were enough of them to do a road trip.
I will also have to go there just to try it out sometime.
Maybe a DFW area Lightning Takeover some day when the heat breaks 🥵.
We can all plug in, open our frunks with drinks on ice and sit in lawn chairs as we all charge to 100% to annoy the Tesla drivers.

I don't know why you want to annoy Tesla drivers in their home stadium, but you're all going to have to wait to dislodge the locked and abandoned VW ID.4s charging to 100% because the free EA chargers are broken.

Score one for bourbon country! Yay!
The Kentucky location is an error. There are CCS chargers adjacent to the Superchargers. The Superchargers do not have magic docks.

Do Tesla rates vary by location / city or time of day (demand) ?

The TX Magic Dock SC says $0.45/kWH which is very good compared to what I pay in So Calif.

How much lower will it be if you join their membership ?

I thought TX had to charge by the min?
Looks like they are making the switch at allot of the SC in Texas.
by the minute was a sweet deal while it lasted

It is 33¢ a minute if you join. Same as the Tesla rates. So at that spread you will make up that difference after 108kw.
so EA maybe cheaper but if they are available and working for a road trip, probably well worth it for a months membership.
But as for the FORD/Tesla deal, that looks like a V3 deal, so some coverage maybe spotty.
my supposition is that V2 can’t do the CCS comms like the V3

Correct only V3 or the new V4 can do CCS comms, Tesla spells this out if you have an older model S (like mine) that didn't support CCS coms for the conversion kit. it would only work on V3 or later

I've been checking every once in a while to see if there are any new ones. That's not far from me.
