Called Csx again this morning, looks like I am delayed a day

Last known location: Buffalo NY 9/20 3:30am

Scheduled delivery: East Brookfield MA 9/21 4:30pm

Got delayed again, delivery scheduled 9/22/22 now. Dealer says they can sit in east Brookfield for a week or more before getting onto trucks for final delivery. Looks like this weekend is unlikely now. Next week looks good though!

@M4rked1 does a way better job than me of stowing the cable.

Some more details: I won't be using the truck for backup power since I already have the power walls for that. So from the main panel I have two lines going out. The one to the charger, and one to the Tesla system.

I am sure after a few charges I’ll lose my patience for neat coiling

My truck arrived at my dealership today. It was damaged in transit. The bumper and headlight are scratched. They're going to fix it, but it'll take 2.5 weeks to get a new bumper from Ford. I asked if I could take delivery anyway and just bring it back when my bumper arrives. They said yes.

I got them to make me an offer on my truck. They came with $18k. So I went to CarMax since they offered me $22k three weeks ago. They dropped their offer to $18k. I was resigning myself to the dealership's offer, but tried Carvana really fast and their offer went up from $23k three weeks ago to $23.6k today. It's tough to wait to go pick up my truck, but I'm going to wait for Carvana to buy my current truck and then go complete the purchase.

I wonder if I could use Amex's auto purchase stuff to make the down payment and then quickly pay it off after Carvana buys my current truck.

Looks like we are going to E Brookfield together since that is my ETA (9/22 4:30 pm). My dealer is literally a mile away...we'll see what happens.

I was thinking doing it this way as well.
Maybe also adding a 220v plug on the telsa solar/powerwall side to charge from my panels during the day.

I called Carvana and the phone help person reviewed my documents right there and cut 1-2 days out of the process. Then she scheduled me to deliver my truck to their local center on Saturday morning. My dealership agreed to take a personal check and sit on it for a few days until the Carvana check clears the bank. So I'll be picking up my new Lightning on Monday morning!

I've been looking at ceramic coatings on delivery. Anyone researched this as a DIY? Like to keep that shiny new surface like in that picture above!

Mine is sitting at the railyard in Nashville about 5 miles from the dealership. From what I've read these pictures are delayed in getting to the owners.
