For all who are trying to track status using the Ford systems, it is interesting that you get different answers based upon which tracker or chat path you pick. I see 2/5 to 2/18 on the Check Order Status path:

Ford F-150 Lightning ✅ 1/9/2023 Lightning Build Week Group (MY2023) 1675339327182

And it tightens up to 2/8 - 2/14 when I log in and check my Reservations and Orders:

No wonder we get multiple answers when we ask where is our Lightning! :ROFLMAO:

Sales manager just emailed me about the price protection he said I would be all set for. He said there is price protection, but its only for $2k "as the $7k rebate covers most of the increase". What kind of crap is that? Its a $16k increase, and at no point was the price raised by $2k... he also said it will be a reimbursement and not a price reduction up front.

Back to pushing for my 9k off it seams.

EDIT:

Just spoke with the sales manager and I think he just doesn't understand how the process works. He has my original DORA that he sent over to me, which has the correct $46,974 base price. But he thinks that the 7k rebate +2k is covering the difference from the now $61k price tag on my truck to get me to $51k. I explained to him the DORA is correct, but the $7k rebate is now applied to the $46,974, its not already implied in that DORA. He gave me a number to call at ford price protection so hopefully they can reach out to him to let him know how it actually works.

I would guess he is playing dumb, as the folks at Casco Bay Ford had no trouble giving me the correct price without me having to educate them. Know that you're in the right, keep pushing, and start reaching out to the Ford folks on reddit and elsewhere to have them link Ford to this unscrupulous dealer.

yeah I spoke with the price protection folks with the number he gave me, and they agreed that the price on the DORA does not include the 7000k rebate. The sales manager is under the assumption that the MSRP on the DORA includes the rebate already, and assumes they are price protecting the difference of the rebate to the msrp listed ($60569-$7000 = $53569 - $2100 = $51469) Thats where he thinks im price protected for only $2100. Realistically they way things are going to go, is he will give me the 7k off, but then make me wait for a check for $9k from ford in 30-45 days. He said they don't cover those cost until ford reimburses them with a check...

I'm working on an email to him now, if that goes nowhere, off to reddit it is haha

Built 1/25, no ship date yet but estimated delivery 1/27 - 2/2. Estimated delivery seems optimistic :)
Estimated delivery is now 1/31 - 2/6. Still showing built but not shipped.

Having to wait for the reimbursement wouldn't be the worst (if they actually give it to you in the end). I asked my dealer rep about that, and he said they always front the money. Up to them I guess, but seems like ruining the relationship with the customer isn't a great long term business plan.

Yeah I thought things were good to go when he said a week ago that I would be price protected and taken care of, not feeling too taken care of at this point haha. He said they put it in writing that when/if the check comes in its sent to us, but I also feel like that doesn't imply they would submit to have the check sent.

Maybe if they had to front the cost, they would have put a little more effort into getting things squared away...

" I am very familiar with the handling of the $7000 certificate, we frequently deal with that portion of things. The price protected date which was emailed to me by the Regional Manager for Ford states specifically that the protected date is 8/16/22 not 1/20/22. The $7000 will be utilized at time of delivery as a “rebate” which is what it is, I am happy to give you whatever the check from Ford is for “price protection” again if/when it comes… usually within 30-45 days. Our sale price will be $61,174 sales tax is $3396.42 Doc fee is $579 and title & arbitration is $34.00. We already “front” the rebate of $7000 and wait to be reimbursed but I am not able to front the undefined “price protection” monies as we will need to wait and see what we are sent if anything. This is how I can proceed so please let me know if you have any other questions, thank you. "

It's just very irritating at this point, and I hope most of you don't have to go through this.

I just tried tracking my Lightning on CSX and found out it is only 150 miles away in Nashville. Ford Chat and Order Status still says next week to 2 weeks away. I used a FCU for financing options - rates are 4.9% for 60 months and 5.39% for 72 months. All I have to do now is wait for the dealer to call with the costs. Trying to stay  , but getting a bit o_O!

I thought I'd post this picture of BUILT status before they take it down again. ETA was 1/24 - 1/30. Now ETA of 1/30 - 2/5.

Still not gonna get happy, yet. :censored:

Here they go moving the goalposts again!

I'm starting to lose count.

Ugh, sorry you have to go through this. You should PM inevitable_note_7556 on reddit to see if he can connect the dots from Ford to your dealer so he isn't leaving you with the ambiguous "wait and see" language. If they want to make you wait for them to be reimbursed because they are salty about not being able to screw you on the price, fine. What isn't fine is not acknowledging that Ford will send them that money.

I got the “your order has been updated “ email last night. It changed my pricing raised it by $4,000. And moved my delivery date by a few days. You think Ford would honor price protection.this just gives the dealer more ammo to not honor it. Good thing I took screenshots before it happened.
Agreed 100%. I was just thinking this as I battle with the dealer for appropriate price on my 12/5 production week Pro... I get putting the latest price on the window sticker, in case for whatever reason the deal doesn't go through with customer who placed the order, but why would Ford say they honor the price at the time of order and then go and change the price on your order on their own website?

I have the same dates as you. The original date was no later than 2/14. Then the first updated delivery was 1/27 - 2/2, then it moved to 1/31 to 2/6. Then a couple days ago the dot went back to order confirmed. I'm now just hoping for the original date of 2/14.
