Is there any way to disable the seat belt chime without Forescan? Darn things starts chiming immediately. I'm tired of having to put on my seatbelt to pull the truck up in the drive, or back it into the street. Super annoying... I'd either like it off, or at least have a 30-60 second delay before it starts nagging.

I clipped the text a while back:

Switching the Seatbelt Reminder On and Off

WARNING WARNING: While the system allows you to deactivate it, this system is designed to improve your chances of being safely belted and surviving an accident. We recommend you leave the system activated for yourself and others who may use the vehicle.

Note: The driver and front passenger warnings switch off independently. When you perform this procedure for one seating position, do not buckle the other position as this cancels the process.
Note: If you are using MyKey, you cannot disable the seatbelt reminder. Also, if the seatbelt reminder has been previously disabled, it will be re-enabled during the use of MyKey.
Read Steps 1 - 4 before proceeding with the programming procedure.
Make sure that:

The parking brake is set.
The transmission is in park (P).
The ignition is off.
The driver and front passenger seatbelts are unfastened.

Switch the ignition on.Do not start the engine.

Wait about one minute until the seatbelt warning light switches off. After Step 2, wait an additional five seconds before proceeding with Step 3. Once you start Step 3, you must complete the procedure within 30 seconds.

For the seating position you are switching off, buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt three times at a moderate speed, ending in the unbuckled state. After Step 3, the seatbelt warning light switches on.

When the seatbelt warning light is on, buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt. After Step 4, the seatbelt warning light flashes for confirmation.

This switches the feature off for that seating position if it is currently on.
This switches the feature on for that seating position if it is currently off.

So I have tried this procedure about 20 times, and it just isnt taking...has it worked for anyone here?
After the third click of the belt (truck not ON) the seatbelt indicator comes back on, I click a fourth time and it flashes a few times and goes out, just like the instructions say. But its still chimes.
Also this does not work at all for passenger side..three clicks after the indicator goes out does nothing at all...
Im pretty positive Ive done it right..
Help!

I would try it, but I more easily used FORSCAN to do this since I was already in and adding AdaptiveCruise, and disabling the 'auto door locks'... I also detached the 'frunk' 'ding, ding, ding' opening and closing speaker, behind the front bumper(no more waking up the neighbors!)...sweet.

There are specific instructions on page 54 too that does not allow you to delete the reminder, you have checked all of those?

I just tried this with the same result: I still get the ding-ding-ding when I start the truck and I’m not buckled. Is it possible that what gets disabled is the “in-motion” warning but not the start-up warning? Haven’t tried that yet but will.

That’s it. What gets disabled is the reminder when you exceed a certain speed without the seat belt fastened. Just tested it after following the instructions in the manual for disabling the reminder.

The reminder at start-up remains active. I haven’t heard of a way to disable that reminder, which is the one I’d actually like to turn off. Maybe that’s an option with Forscan but I haven’t ventured there.

Matrix lights, disable seatbelt chime and disable double honk on exit of running vehicle were all that I cared about.
A little off topic, but you can disable the seatbelt chime and double honk without Forscan.

Not that I'm aware of. And no way dealer will do it for you.
There is a toggle in the center screen for the horn honk and the seatbelt chime defeat procedure is detailed in the manual. I did both.

The instructions are in the owner's manual. You could probably convince a dealer to do it or you could just do it yourself.?

Matrix lights look awesome. I need to learn Forscan.
