Update: The dealership called and said the update was done. I asked if the tech could verify that the 360 camera was full size. They said the tech would do everything they needed to. I tried to explain the issues noted here. They said it was good. Well, of course when I got there and checked the camera, it was small. The truck is spending the weekend there and I’m buying gas for the loaner. Ugg!
I would take it home and schedule an appointment when I know they have blocked out time.

Report from the very short drive home.
1. The hands-on Bluecruise stayed engaged on my entire road. Previously it would disengage (and not reengage) at a bad curve. It handled it all correctly, which was very surprising. My road has not been maintained very well and the lines are a challenge even for me. It’s also relatively narrow. I have a few drives today and am curious if this is “the new normal”. If so I like it.
2. I’m fairly certain the 360 is smaller. For me it’s not noticeable enough to warrant another trip before my next 10k rotation.

Does it have a black box around it? The 360 camera did get smaller with the update but the issue those with 22's are seeing is that the tech didn't follow the directions and now they have this big black box around the 360 camera.

Thank you for pointing this out! Turns out that my dealership did the update and reconfig correctly. I saw a smaller 360 and thought they forgot the camera reconfig. After reading your post I went back and looked at the smaller view— no black box and I have the buttons on the left. I returned the gas guzzler and gratefully drove my favorite vehicle home!

Follow up with observations after driving a few days.
1. BlueCruise is much, much more stable on the interstate. I noticed my Lightning "ping ponged" more than hub's Mach-E and though it was b/c he's running a newer version of BC. I'm sure that contributes, but Sparky is noticeably better after the update.

2. Hands-on BC on my 2-lane road continues to engage the entire road while going to my house, but not away from my house. This road is far too narrow and poorly marked for me to trust it in any way, but it is interesting that it engages and holds.

3. Proximity warnings seem to go off more frequently in drive throughs. This is a little annoying as it always freaks me out just a little. I'm getting used to it though. I think I had rather have the warning and not need it rather than need it and not have it. The question becomes personal complacency to the warning.

4. I'll post a pic of my 360 camera. I need input from y'all to determine if it is correct or not. I don't have another Lightning to compare mine to! ?

I've been getting the errors popping up the past few days, is the 360 cam screen an issue with the 12" display or just those '22 owners with the 4a?

Just the 15.5" screen I believe.

Be thankful you don't live somewhere that it gets really cold. When it's below about 20° and my truck has ice on it every stop light results in random proximity warnings.

I didn't know how they worked but a buddy of mine who works with them says the sensors are ultrasonic. If a little ice disrupts the oscillation it thinks something is there. Software should recognize the unusual frequency...alas.

Here is my current 360 display. Do I need the additional update, lol? Feels like there is a lot of black space around the view that didn‘t used to be there. Many thanks for input!

I've gone back through the last few pages of the thread, has this update been changed to in shop only? My shop 30 miles away that I've been using says I'm too far for mobile updates now. So I called a closer dealer they said they'd only do it in shop and it would take all day. I didn't argue, but I'm back to square one about what I hate about Ford and their service. I'm thinking I'll drive to the dealer 30 miles away and just let them do it there. At least I know a few people there now vs the one closer to me that could care less.

I think Utter will still do mobile service. But when I called Five Star Lewisville, they said they no longer do mobile service for software updates. They had too many issues. Morons don't realize the issue is likely the tech not connecting a power supply. They offered the pickup/drop-off service instead so I did that. I had them do the three CSPs I had at the time. They were pretty quick and did all the updates.

Yeah - new scheduler/service advisor at Utter - Tiffany I think it was, just told me I was too far away for them now. Tracy at 5 Star did check with a tech, I think they knew agreed they needed to get power supply, but they started down the road of they knew it would take all day.

So I'm choosing the least of my evils. I think at least at Utter I'll call the guy that has helped me a couple of times and let him set it up for me.

Well there’s all of those considerations plus the fact that Ford still hasn’t told their techs that this IPMA/PSCM script is broken, and unless you know to separately run the IPMA Configuration tool in FDRS afterwards you’ll likely end up with a partially completed update that will result in you still having a PSCM update in your available software list. This is an issue that many of us who’ve done this update have known about for what….four months now?
