Even though all my settings are CORRECT , my plug in outlets all power off after about 6 minutes when i shut off the truck. The lightning flash screen has a toggle that says the power will stay on after the truck is turned off and will reset when i turn the truck on again. The only way I can keep the outlets hot is to turn the accessory on(pressing the on button without touching the brake pedal) but then I have to manually turn everything off that I don’t want (Radio, heat etc). I’ve set an appt at the dealer. Anyone have this issue and solved it. I tried disconnecting the 12v battery as well as doing a complete reset. HELP?

We'll need another model year 2024 owner to cross check if this is a programming fluke caused by recent updates or something defective with your truck.

BTW, how large of a load do you have on the outlet? Others have reported that nil or low load might be insufficient to compel the PPOB to stay "on"

Older model years have not gotten this enhancement yet.

I have a cooler plugged , however, it shuts down in about 6 minutes whether there is a load or not.

Double check the Vehicle settings for the automatic shutdown timer, normally you shouldn't need to second guess that it's disabled, but I'd check to see that it's set correctly.

Other than that, we need testing feedback from fellow 2024 owners to help you, my 2022 isn't going help in live testing.

Can you plug in another load like a 100w lightbulb or a hairdriyer on a low setting? See if you can get it past the 6 minute mark.... that will rule out if its a low load issue, or if its something else "Ford" related.

The main shut down timer appears to be set at 30 minutes and will turn off the truck if you inadvertently leave it on. I did disable that anyway , even though it is shutting down in 6 minutes. There is another protection that shuts the outlets off at an amount of predicted mileage that I can adjust according to how near a charger I might be. The default is 102mi (weird). I have it set at 50

like I said, it’s shutting down in approx. 6 min with no load at all. The cooler is small with a minimum load. If it can’t handle that, it’s useless anyway. If you think plugging a light in might give me some info, I’ll try it

On my 2024 Flash, the PPO does not power off after 6 minutes.

This is what other members who have observed the same limitation have resorted to.

Hey K6CCV, does your 2024 lightning shut down in 6 minuteswith no load. I’d be surprised if it did. I plugged in the light. I plugged in the cooler and yes with no load and they all shut down. I made an appt at the dealer. I’ll let you all know. Thanks for all your help and insights.

Not that I have noticed. I will do some tests tonight or tomorrow (at work right now - with the truck plugged into free L2 charging - WooHoo).

Might not be completely the same, but I regularly run my bed power for multiple hours. I use it for brewing beer via 240v.
I 'start' the truck, power on the bed, which disables the 30 minute timer, and that is about it. I run power from the bed for about 5 hours.

Oh, I also sometimes run the 120v for the pumps while brewing. Just kind of depends if I'm lazy to run an extension cable back to my garage or just utilize the power in the truck.

I have the same issue last time, i have a 2024 lariat. The dealer change the inverter, after that works fine. you need a load of at least 100watts for the outlet to be on.
