Much of my driving is highway so I will try resetting the history to see if it goes to 320
To be clear, if the truck say 320 miles it is just lying to you. That number is just the epa rating if using the epa test, to include runtime, speed, weather, AC usage, etc. All that tells you is that that little number displayed is worthless.

The distance you can ACTUALLY go will almost certainly be different, especially if you drive highway.

If you want to know what you should be getting, reset one of your Trip logs (I use Trip 1) and drive for a week. Take the efficiency number (miles per kWh) after your week of typical driving and multiply it by 131. That's your typical driving range for the weather/terrain.

If you average 2.0mpk, that's ~260 miles. You need 2.4ish to achieve the EPA rating.
BINGO!!!

My 2024 Platinum with an EPA 300 miles of range, but it gets 2.1 mi/kWh
My 2023 ER Lariat with an EPA 330 Mile of range, but it got 2.3 mi/kWh, 10% better.

So real life the
24 Platinum gets 2.1 x 131 = 275 miles on a full charge
23 Lariat would get 2.3 x 131 = 301 miles on a full charge

This is at a speed of 60-65 mph flat land

Here is the screenshot of my current Platinum with 1,369 miles on the odometer. You can't use the time running and miles driven to compute the average mph because I use the truck as a generator and also idle to precool my powered freezer and refrigerator prior to a trip.

Right now my Guess O Meter on FordPass shows 74% 197 mi. So if you do the math 197mi/0.74 = 262.2 miles of range if you extrapolate it to 100%.

Others have covered the GoM enough, but I'll throw this out: You can beat EPA range but it's all about use case. I have almost always gotten more than 320 to a charge, as high as close to 400 even; however, I have one of the best use cases: sub 40mph driving in temperate climates.

I've actually been impressed by my truck and how long I can stretch its legs. The other day I did 270 miles on the interstate and got back with 20% leftover. The secret? I got stuck in traffic... LOL. High speeds, wind, and cold temps are the enemy. If you are fortunate, like me, to live in a region where that's doable it becomes much easier. If you live somewhere with cold temps, high winds, then it becomes all that much harder. Environmental conditions have a huge impact.

I don't know why the sales people don't explain this before the purchase. They would have a lot more content customers and I doubt that the truth would be a deal breaker.

For those of us who are less technical, the situation has improved drastically with the increase in the number of charging stations. I generally figure that I have 15% less than what the screen shows and have no qualms about stopping and charging for about 10 or 15 minutes if I feel that I’m running low.

I have got about 3000 miles on my 24" Flash. I never get over 1.8 on my longer trips. Only if I drive to the supermarket, which is under a mile, then I get a good one.

This is just the way it is and I can live with it as I don't need the longer mileage. If I need to drive a super long distance, I rent.

However, if i had been planning or needed the 300 mile range, I would be super pissed when the truck got no where near that.

I’m also a new ā€˜24 lariat owner , love love love the truck. When it comes to range , city driving is where you get most of your best mileage, hwy not so. Since Ford doesn’t recommend past 90 percent charging points you might never see 240/320 advertised . Also getting tonneau cover might give a little boost if mileage… Easy on acceleration, try Sport mode, one pedal driving, you’ll enjoy eventually.

I got a chuckle out of this. I thought he drives sub 40 on the freeway??? Surprised he got to his destination alive!!! Then I read the caveat.

I purchased a new 2025 Lightning Flash. I love the truck however after charging to 100% the range never is above 260- 270 miles- not the 300-320 that’s advertised. Now, I’m not so naive to think I will actually attain that actual range, but I’m not at all pleased that it never gets even close to the advertised range estimate at 100% charge… by a lot. Temperature during charge was 70-80 degrees. When I charge to 80% it estimates total range of about 225 miles, which extrapolates to the same 260 or so. Does anyone else have this experience and should I press for a new battery?
At 225 miles of range at 80% extrapolates to 281 miles, not 260-270. 225/.0.8=281.

If traveling at 70 mph as you stated the delivered range is normal and actually pretty good. Look at my screen shot below. 197 miles at 74% extrapolates to 266 miles vs the 300 EPA miles at 100%.

I charge to 80%. with both my ER Lightning and my Long Range Tesla Model Y with a published range of 320 miles. When traveling I plan 180 miles before stopping and getting charged.

Are you aware that the 2025 Flash has a reduced battery capacity of 121 kWh vs 131 kWh for a Lariat and Platinum.

Doesn’t the 2025 Flash have a smaller battery? (122kWh)
