I try to keep them to 55 on the dash but it was a little chilly out. The TPMS isn’t accurate, 55psi on the dashboard=49psi on my Snap-On mechanical gauge.

54 psi in your tires! 😳

I would get one more data point. My TPMS and a couple of different gauges I have and tire shop rotate/pressure checks are all within 1-2psi of each other. 6psi is a big spread. Overfilling those tires will get you better range for sure.

App says not to go over 42, could be the rough rating of the TPMS sensor?

My TPMS are off a smidge but nothing like 6psi. IIRC 3 are the same as my gauges and one is off by 2 psi, and thats across 3 gauges (digital, rotary, and stick).

My TPMS, my conventional stick gauge, and the pressure reading on my air pump are all within 1 - 2 PSI.

I hear you and appreciate the input.
However not my first rodeo brother.
And yes, anyone with one of these trucks would likely do themselves a service with the tire pressure set high.
Rides less like a tugboat and gets better range.

And don't drive on highway at speed limit...
55 - 65 mph, depending on speed limit and traffic. Most highway speed limits are 55 or 65 mph, until you get in rural areas, and then you might get 70 mph.

80 mph in Virginia is reckless driving - which is a misdemeanor.

Here they are all 70mph.

My quick rule of thumb is:
Summer = 2.5 kw/mi
Winter = 1.8 kw/mi (temps below 45F)
Towing = 1.0 kw/mi

Just take those numbers and multiple by your pack size. ER is 131kw so:
Summer = 327mi range
Winter = 235mi
Towing = 131mi
Totally agree. Spot on.

Yup, figured you were in the WARM BELT, I'll post my 100% snap shot Sunday evening I expect a less optimistic GOM value for a New England Winter day.
Surprised to see that I have the classic projected range at 100% SOC, after the end of the fully balanced charging session which took a long time, the GOM showed 317 miles, after I unplugged and reset my drivers history, it jumped to 320 miles for my 2022 Lariat-ER.

This session took 66.38 kWh according to Emporia while the FCSP log 66.009 kWh, Ford App shows NET energy to the battery at 61.4 kWh before unplugging, then the post event record shows 50 kWH net to the battery. The 190 miles added is not seasonally or driver history adjusted for reality.

The final couple of hours to balance the pack, last time I did this was around end of September 2025, note the slow charging rates toward the end.

This weeks charging events all had 92% conversion rates, with 8% to losses.

Ford F-150 Lightning Range not close to as advertised 1766969944106-kr

December charging events, note this past week MPK is below trend because of the extra 10% charge to 100% and the balancing energy consumed, understand my operational behaviour, I generally do not plug in nightly and I remote start or use departure time to condition the cabin off the plug to intentionally roll all that inefficiency into the 'real cost to drive' each week.

The end of year values will need a final mileage update the evening of 12/31 and if I'm under 90% a little top-up as well.

I've driven 5839 miles in 2025, used 4057.4 kWh of juice that includes a couple of DCFC kWh rolled in, for a composite cost $1,492.30, or 25.6 cents a mile to drive electric under my conditions.

The pessimistic MPK of 1.4 for the year is based on these values, but if I really want to project a real moderate range road trip, I'd do all the things skilled EV enthusiasts will do: charge to 100%, condition the battery & cabin on the plug, and moderate my driving style to accommodate a round trip if possible with no intervening charging, and pay attention to when additional mid trip charging might be needed.

Yup, not the worst in the country but bad enough that it makes me miss the PowerStroke in winter sometimes, though not for her cold-blooded nature but cost efficiency.

BTW, after cooling the pack slightly overnight the GOM lowered to 315 miles of range

You made me look at my spreadsheet. As of my last charge session overnight Saturday night, since I bought my Lightning in February, I have 15,160 miles on the odometer (27 on the odometer when I bought it). I have put 6,579.9 KWH into the battery on 198 charge sessions that varied from 1.2 KWH to 105 KWH. Of those, 88 were free (mostly at work), 77 were at home (mostly on my FCSP), and 32 were DCFC (4 of those were free). Total cost has been $1,273.32 or 19.35 cents per KWH which comes out to 8.41 cents per mile - WAY LESS than my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 that the Lightning replaced which was 35 - 40 cents per mile just for gas when I traded it in.

Since I retired almost three months ago, I am no longer driving about 1,000 miles per month to commute, but I am driving more for hobby stuff. I also no longer have the public free chargers at work (if I could get a stall - they were busy), so my average cost per KWH is creeping up.
