Pro Trailer Hitch Assist via OTA update for MY22?

That seems correct to me too. Make sure any DTCs are cleared for the reverse brake assist, before trying also.

I made changes last night and it didn’t work, so I changed things back. Then my reverse brake assist didn’t work until I cleared the DTCs. I’m wondering if I had cleared them, then tried the hitch assist if it would have worked correctly.

I will try again tonight.

In this post @RickLightning says he got Pro Trailer Hitch Assist (aka Auto Hitch) on his 2022 after an update.

I just checked my 2022 and when I press the ProTrailer button, I get asked if a trailer is connected and when I answer no, it seems as if Pro Trailer HItch Assist wants to start. It was dark so I got a message it was too dark for the feature to work. I'll try again in the daylight.

Regarding the FORScan values shown above be careful; since they are for an Ice truck. Here are the values for my 2022. You need TowTech for this feature to work I believe:

706-01-01 xxxx-xx*x-xx - was originally a 1 but an update changed it to 5 late last year.
7D0-01-03 xxxx-xx*x-xx trucks w/o TowTech have A, with TT have B
760-03-01 xx*x-xx trucks w/o TowTech have 9, with TT have D

The values above also apply to 23-24 MY Lightnings that have the feature. I imagine you might also need an IPMA and ABS update from the original stock.

Any time you write to the IPMa you have to drive straight for a few for it to relearn center. SO the likely hood of errors and RBA not available is high. Its best to drive it after anything is writen to IPMA to relearn center then try it

There is also a PCM change needed to make it fully functional.

May need to update the PCM also. I had figured out an issue a long while back with a PCM OTA ford was sending out. It was causing a wrench Icon to show up.

It was due them enabling the Auto hitch in the reconfigure of the OTA on trucks that didnt have it enabled.

So some PCM strategies for earlier trucks MAY not have it. So there could be a scenario that you need to update the PCM strategy to make it fully work.

I did ALL the updates available back in August. (Only missing BCM with WAL)

I made the above edit to PCM, rebooted it, and drove about 10 hwy miles. Lane centering and ACC all working fine. No RBA errors. Still coming up with same screen on hitch assist.

Will just leave it for a few days and try again.

One other thought is to do a module reboot with FORScan.

After making the change you posted, mine seemed to work. I said no trailer, then it popped up a target that you had to aim the truck at the trailer you want to hook up and I guess once it recognizes it, it takes over. I dont have a trailer at my house or I would have tried, but I assume it was working as intended.

Odd that the two of you with 2023's don't have it. I thought it was a new feature for 2023's. Were you early builds? @theaustinite says he did not get the BCM or WAL update. Did you?

I do believe I received the BCM and WAL updates. The last two that I received are: SYNC-25.2.1.6.5 and the BC 1.4 update. If someone can check, my VIN is 1FTVW1EV7PWG*****.
